Longmont Breweries and Entertainment
During our research for venues we found lots of great places to grab a drink or find some fun. - Winners Circle is an arcade right near the hotel. - Quarters is a popular pinball arcade right down town - Oskar Blues, Left hand Brewery, and Wibby are all fun breweries in the area - The Cheese Emporium is a great place to stop for a quick look at some fun cheeses. - Abbott and Wallace - Kuper Wine Bar
Food Close to The Hotel
First Watch is a great option for breakfast although its not local- check out our Longmont local suggestions. Swaylo's Tiki is a fun hawaiin tiki bar that would be a good option for dinner. The Post is a great sit down dinner or lunch option for chicken lovers.
Estes Park
Want to escape to the mountains? Estes Park is a popular and fun town right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. Dana loves getting ice cream and taffy when she visits. If you are wanting to go into the National Park, be sure to check on reservation requirements.
Celestial Seasonings
Enjoy a free tour of Celestial Seasonings tea factory made right in Boulder CO. This is a fun, free outing good for any weather.
Liberty Puzzles Factory & Tours
Have you tried completing a wooden liberty puzzle? If not, you should. They have free factory tours where you can see how the popular puzzles are made. We haven't tried this yet but its on our CO bucket list. Monday-Friday, 10am - 4pm (excluding holidays). No appointment needed.
Mile-Hi Skydiving Center, Inc.
Want to make the Menke Wedding a weekend to remember? Try skydiving. On Dana's 18th birthday she went skydiving at the mile high skydiving center in Longmont and she survived to tell the tale. Anyone who takes me up on my recommendation gets to be first in line for dinner. Photo proof required.
YA YA Farm & Orchard
One of our favorite fall traditions is going to Ya Ya farms for an apple cider donut. It's close to our venue and the perfect time of year for it. They also have some animals to see and pet, a flower garden, and apple orchard.
Pearl Street Mall
First time in CO? No trip is complete without a walk down Pearl Street Mall. Grab some ice cream, people watch, or do some shopping.
Hike Lefthand Trailhead
Our favorite thing to do? Go hiking. Here is a pretty flat out and back hike.
South Mesa Trailhead
Dana and Charlie have a tradition of trail running the South Mesa Trail. But don't worry you can just hike it. Our favorite loop is about 2.5 miles long but you can choose your own adventure- no reservation required. There are gravel paths, single track trails, steep inclines, or mellow paths. Remember to respect the outdoors we love and leave no trace.
McIntosh Lake
Want to go for a stroll with a pretty view? Check out McIntosh Lake in Longmont.
Hall Ranch Open Space
A great hiking area close to Longmont with a wide range of trails for all levels.
Pella Crossing
Want a nice walk with a view right in Longmont? Check out Pell Crossing.
Loomiller Park Disc Golf
Looking for a casual way to get outside with some friends or family while in town? Longmont has some great disc golf courses. We are happy to lend you a Frisbee.
Colorado Railbike Adventures
We haven’t tried it yet but have heard great things. This adventure is on our date night bucket list.
