Flight
The wedding celebrations are beginning with a welcome drink in the late afternoon on Thursday, September 19. We hope you'll consider coming to Perugia by Thursday so that you have plenty of time to nurse your jet-lag, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the town before the big day on Friday. While there is a small airport in Perugia, it's not well connected with Rome. You can rather easily fly to Rome and take a bus or train to Perugia. If you're looking for more budget-friendly options, check out Norwegian Airlines, which has round-trip flights from Newark to Rome for close to $600.
Train
The train is a great, affordable option to reach Perugia. Search for tickets on TrenItalia's website. For "from" type "Fiumicino Aeroporto" and for "to" type "Perugia." (There are other stations in Perugia, but the one you want is called simply "Perugia" with nothing after it.) You will have to change trains likely at the Roma Tiburtina Station and possibly in Foligno or another city between Rome and Perugia. Once at the Perugia train station, you can follow signs to the Mini-Metro, which you should ride uphill to the very last stop (Pincetto / Perugia Centro). If you arrive too late and the metro is closed, you can get a taxi outside of the train station.
House Or Rental
If you have never used Air BnB before and don't have an account, use this link to get a $40 travel credit toward your first rental. It's a great option if you prefer to save a bit of money and would rather be in an apartment or a local's house than a hotel.
