FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kyle Harring and Lauren Dameron
Question

What Is The Dress Code?

Answer

This is a Black Tie Preferred affair. We'd love to see our friends and family dressed up for our big day! Men - if you have a tuxedo please wear it. If you are inclined to rent one please do so. Otherwise, a dark suit and bowtie is appropriate! Ladies - a floor length gown or dress. With respect to the Chapel, avoid plunging necklines or high slits, and please leave the color white to the bride! Spring in DC can at times be unpredictable. Cocktails will be the only outdoor portion of the day, but the Chapel may be chilly. You may want to bring a shawl or light sweater/jacket.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Dahlgren Chapel will open its doors for our guests to find their seats at 2:30pm. Our Ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm. Please note: Getting through DC to Georgetown's campus on a Saturday can be very busy so consider giving yourself extra time. You are welcome to explore the beautiful grounds of Georgetown if you arrive early.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation details will be provided soon! When the RSVP page opens, you will have the option to opt in or out of provided transportation.

Question

What can I expect at a catholic wedding?

Answer

While Kyle grew up Catholic, Lauren was baptized into the Catholic Church in the Spring of 2026 and can empathize that it may feel overwhelming. Lauren and Kyle have prepared a program that will be available to our guests at the Chapel and, our officiating priest, Father David Dufresne will be guiding our loved ones through the service. In the Catholic faith, Marriage is one of the most important sacraments. The Nuptial Mass is a sacred liturgical celebration between two Catholics where the couple becomes husband and wife, receiving a special blessing for their new life together. The program will include traditions, readings, and music. For our non-Catholic guests who may be unfamiliar with the Mass, please know your presence, prayers, and warm wishes are the most cherished gift, and you are welcome to participate in all parts of the ceremony except for the reception of Communion. We please ask that in respect of the sacred space and ceremony, all phones be silenced and turned off upon entering the Chapel.

Question

Are Children invited?

Answer

While we absolutely love the children in our lives, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

May I bring a "plus one"?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guests name will appear on both your invitation and under your name when you go to RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at The Mayflower Hotel, please see the travel tab for more information!
