Kyle and Lauren had their first date in August of 2021 after a few conversations on a good ole fashioned dating app. On their first date they quickly realized how interconnected their lives were (including living on the same street and sharing mutual friends) and immediately hit it off. They spent the next year exploring new and favorite DC spots, introducing one another to their friends and family, traveling, and growing in love. Kyle graduated with his MBA from Georgetown and Lauren added Maddy to their lives (let the record show Kyle insisted she was NOT his dog)! Eventually they decided to move in together and spent two years renting in north Arlington where they fell deeper in love, even as Lauren drove Kyle crazy a time or two. In May of 2025, Kyle surprised Lauren at one of her favorite spots overlooking the Potomac River and got down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of their lives together. On one of their happiest days, surrounded by their parents and of course Maddy, Lauren said yes! This past year has been full of excitement. From Lauren and Kyle buying their first home together, to Lauren joining the Catholic Church, traveling to celebrate many friend’s marriages and even embarking on an unexpected road trip to Canada, they truly cannot wait for what is sure to be their most favorite day yet to come! We are truly so grateful for all of our friends and family who have traveled near and far to celebrate this special day with us. There is not a more incredible feeling than being surrounded by our favorite people who have been part of every chapter of our lives. We love you all and cannot wait to party!
