We recommend booking your flights as early as possible to ensure you get the best options and prices. Transportation from the Airport: Taxis and Ride-Sharing: Taxis are available at the airport, and services like Uber and Didi operate in the area as well. If you’re booking a ride, make sure to confirm your destination with the driver before starting the trip. Rental Car
For those of you planning to rent a car during your stay in Jalisco or Guadalajara, here’s some helpful information to make your travel easier: Car Rental Locations: Jalisco Airport (GDL): Several major rental car companies have offices right at Guadalajara International Airport (GDL), including Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and National. You can conveniently pick up your car right after you land. In Guadalajara City: If you prefer to rent a car in the city, options are also available in downtown Guadalajara and at major hotels. Companies like Europcar, Alamo, and Sixt have locations around the city center. Things to Keep in Mind: Book Ahead: We recommend booking your car rental in advance to secure the best rates and ensure availability. Traffic: Guadalajara is a bustling city, and traffic can be heavy, especially during rush hours. If you're heading to the wedding venue or exploring the area, allow some extra travel time. Insurance: Be sure to check the insurance coverage included with your rental. Some international credit cards offer rental car insurance, but it’s important to verify with your provider ahead of time. Navigation: We suggest using a GPS or a navigation app (like Google Maps) for easy travel. Road signs are usually in Spanish, so having a navigation system will help you get around comfortably. Car Return: You can return your rental car directly at Jalisco Airport (GDL) when it’s time to head home. If you’ve rented from a downtown location, check with the agency for return instructions. If you need any help with car rentals or have questions about transportation, feel free to reach out to us. We want to make sure your travel is smooth, and we can’t wait to see you at the celebration! Safe travels and see you soon! 💕

If you prefer, there are also plenty of nearby Airbnbs that offer more space and local charm. Whichever you choose, these options make it easy to enjoy the wedding festivities and explore Guadalajara. Transportation: We will be providing transportation on the day of the wedding from these three hotels to the ceremony and reception venue for your convenience.
Travel Note
Currency: The official currency is Mexican Peso (MXN). We recommend exchanging some currency at the airport or withdrawing from ATMs in the city for better rates. Many places also accept US dollars, but it’s always good to have pesos on hand for smaller transactions. Important Documents: You’ll need a valid passport to enter Mexico. Tourist visas are generally not required for visitors from U.S., Canada, or many other countries for stays under 180 days. Please verify any visa requirements with your local embassy. Language: Spanish is the primary language spoken in Guadalajara, but many people in tourist areas speak English. A translation app or a few basic Spanish phrases can be very helpful! Weather: December in Guadalajara offers beautiful, mild weather with temperatures ranging from the low 70s to mid-80s°F (21–30°C). Evenings can be a bit chilly, but not as cold as Los Angeles—a light jacket or sweater should be plenty to stay comfortable. Electricity: Mexico uses 110V electricity, the same as U.S. and Canada. No converter is needed, but make sure to bring a plug adapter if your device has a different plug shape. Emergency Contacts: Local Emergency Number: 911 Embassy Contacts: Make sure to have the contact information for your country’s embassy in Mexico City in case you need assistance. Food and Drink: Mexican cuisine is amazing, and Guadalajara is known for its delicious food! Be cautious with street food if you have a sensitive stomach, and always drink bottled water to avoid any issues. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in Guadalajara! If you need any additional information or have questions, feel free to reach out. Safe travels, and we’ll see you soon! 💕
