While Czarina was pursuing her nursing studies, Drenz happily became her favorite “practice patient,” supporting her every step of the way from nursing assessments to learning how to insert IVs. Their bond continued to grow as they explored new experiences hand in hand, including Drenz bringing Jollibee all the way from Winnipeg. Drenz loved watching Czarina perform K-pop dances at university, while Czarina would teach Drenz how to play Ghibli songs on the piano. Drenz often surprised Czarina with homemade treats like warm pandesal, fluffy ensaymada, and even his famous carbonara, each gesture filled with love and care. On June 21, 2017, their friendship gently turned into love. Their very first date was a peaceful canoe ride on the lake, a quiet moment that marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. From singing along at the Eras Tour and seeing Taylor Swift live, to celebrating their anniversary in the breathtaking landscapes of British Columbia, every moment brought them closer. During that trip, a visit to a strawberry farm held a sweet secret when Czarina noticed a hidden ring box. Just a few days later, Drenz asked her to spend forever with him in the stunning town of Whistler. Since then, their love story has continued to bloom with magical moments, including a dreamy engagement shoot in Tofino and attending a Laufey concert side by side.
