It all started freshman year at Appalachian State University when Seth needed help with his Physics homework and Cydnee pretended to know what she was doing (spoiler: she did not). For their first official date, Cydnee asked Seth to drive to Target with her and accidentally navigated them to the wrong location (because directions are hard). After a long drive, the night ended with Cook Out and stargazing on the Parkway where we talked for hours, realizing just how easy it was to be together. From snow days in Boone, taking physics together, and living in a windowless apartment, we spent nearly every moment of college side by side. After graduating college, our first challenge was a year of long distance, followed by Cydnee starting PT school. While in PT school, Seth became Cydnee's go to patient for practical exams and study sessions, becoming a professional at pretending to have every injury imaginable. Between late night reviews, endless flashcards, and mock practicals in the living room, he’s been her most supportive (and most dramatic) patient yet. Fast forward to March 2025 when Seth planned a last minute trip to Asheville and proposed at a cozy geodome in the mountains. It wasn’t his original plan, as he had to move it up a week because Cydnee knows him way too well and started to catch on! Her favorite part was finding out that he’d hidden the ring in his sock so she wouldn’t spot it in his pocket. Of course, she said yes!
