After getting a warning from her first preceptor over the weekend of the first shifts she worked at Life Link of how Troy “won’t be your friend, but is a good preceptor” Megan nervously went into her first shift with Troy. As anticipated, at the start of the shift Troy went into a long boundaries speech about how he wasn’t there to be Megans’ friend, to not try to hug him, etc. And yet, not long after that, Megan text a friend that she just met the man she was going to marry. As they got to know each other through the shifts, and Megan pretended to help him pick out “great matches” on dating apps, Troy began to realize maybe Megan would be the great match. Megan switched to her home base in Rush City, the dating began, and the rest is history!
This summer while up at the Cushman family cabin on Seagull Lake, Troy, Megan, (and Macy of course) decided to take the boat down Gunflint Lake to see the waterfalls. Megan was only skeptical to the fact that Troy wanted to go on a hike willingly. We reached the beach and found the beautiful path to the falls and began to hike. Once at the falls, unknown to Megan at the time called Bridal Falls, Megan began taking pictures and once done was a little annoyed we were still standing there getting eaten alive by mosquitos. That annoyance didn’t last long though as she looked to her left to find Troy down on one knee, and in typical Troy fashion with a gorgeous ring connected to an air tag. Megan of course said YES!! We are so excited to share this day with all of you and can’t wait to see you in February!
