Tanner
Best Person
He has been by my side since the day he was born. Since that day, a connection was made. It's a connection that is hard to describe but is noticeable to anyone that knows us. Our bond has never gone away; it only grows stronger. I have always looked to Tanner, even as a little. There's s an innocence in Tanner that always puts my mind at ease. I could hear his laugh, see his smile or look into his eyes and all my inner struggles go away. We would watch Les Miserables when he was little and he would sing “Master of the House” over and over again, & life was perfect! If there was anyone that ever knew my truth (without knowing it) it was Tanner. The thing that makes our relationship so special is we can see ourselves in each other and no matter what's going on, we are there for each other. He’s one of the only people where just a hug goodbye could bring us to tears. I guess the only way to describe what people see with Tanner and I is ... an unspeakable/unbreakable bond. I couldn't image anyone else as my Best Person. To Tanner, Thank you. Thank you for making me a better person. Thank you for standing by my side at our wedding. My life wouldn’t be complete without you. You have made times in my life so much easier just by being the amazing human you are. Jax
Person of Honor
Jax (AKA: Jaximus, Jax'un'million [French accent, lol], XiMu [ZeeMoo]) is my tiny human of honor. Ok, Ok, so he isn't so tiny anymore, but this kiddo will always be my "tiny human" because he is my baby, my youngest, my last child. My kiddos joke about "who is mom's favorite?", and I say, "NONE of them are" (Lol!). And, I do love them all differently; because I love them for exactly who THEY are. Brenden, my oldest, made me a mom, "saved my life", and is my only human creation that looks like me. Ian, completely different, tow headed, my kiddo that taught me compassion, grit, and boundless love. And finally, my Jax, (I thought I was done at 2!), full head of curls, who reinforced that not all kids conform to the norm, how to be wildly and authentically myself, and that life often serves up the unexpected in lessons in love and re-defined expectations (That's a story for another day. :) ) Jax has always gained my admiration and pride for how instantly loving he is, how accepting he is to all different kinds of folx, and how willing he is to take the road less travelled (even if harder) to be completely himself. He is an incredibly talented artist, avid gamer, intelligent, loving, silly, and... pretty funny. ;) He always comes to me for some of the best hugs ever, loves cuddling and mom time, and is quick to let me know when I overstep ANY bound... "Mother. No." Hahaha. I cannot wait to celebrate our day with Jax by my side. Here's to you and us, JaxZiMu.
