High Tea, Rehearsal & Photos with Family

We will convene as a family for an afternoon high tea, then head out to Old Castle Lachlan to see where the ceremony will take place and walk through what it will look like. After, we will head back to Castle Lachlan for some family photos on the estate leading into sunset at 8:30 PM.

Wedding at Old Castle Lachlan

Tartans Encouraged! Please plan to wear a tartan from your clan or any McLachlan Family tartan other than the McLachlan Ancient (reserved for the wedding party). If you are not sure of your clan affiliations, please ask! We are happy to help research. If you prefer, we will also have McLachlan Tartan Rosettes/Favors which can be pinned on.
Please plan to walk a bit. Wear sensible shoes! This is a rural "Celtic-style wedding circle" ceremony at a remote location; the Old Castle Lachlan ruins. Otherwise, anything vintage or "Downton-esque" and kilts are encouraged. Overall, have fun with your outfit! The ceremony will start at 2:00pm. There will be no seating, so the ceremony will be short & sweet. As mentioned, this is an outdoor, "celtic style" ceremony filled with traditions of the past, and as our loved ones, you will be involved in certain parts of the ceremony. After the ceremony, we will do pictures with guests, then everyone is free to siesta until the Pub Party Reception at 6:30.

Wedding Attire / Afterparty Attire
Being remote, we will not have the capacity for a large wedding afterparty reception. Rather than, we have decided to embrace local life and retire to the PUB in town to celebrate our nuptials with friends and family which have chosen to attend. We will be celebrating at the Anchor Inn. There will be food & drinks, music, dancing & karaoke! The Anchor Inn is an hour away, so Crystal and Holly have hired a coach to drive from Castle Lachlan to the Anchor Inn and back. If you rented a vehicle and want to drive yourself you are more than welcome, but transportation to the After Party is booked for everyone. If you are driving yourself, please let Crystal or Holly know, otherwise The Coach will leave Castle Lachlan (Strathlachlan, Strachur, Argyll PA27 8BU) at 5:30pm. The Coach will pick everyone up at the Anchor Inn at 11:00pm. HEADS UP!! For those who have not done it, go to the 'Things to do" tab and follow the instructions on how to add music to the wedding playlist.
