DE State Fair at Harrington Raceway & Casino
The fair will be in town while you are! If you would like to attend, tickets are available on the website listed here. There are concerts and events all week long, and the fair has a strong country vibe that always makes Crystal feel at home.
Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen
We had our first date at this restaurant. It's great for lunch, nothing is over $15. We may have our Farewell Lunch there after the wedding for those coming in from out of town.
Toppers Spa at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino
Crystal and Dwight live in Dover, and the hotel/casino has a lovely spa that her Bridal Brunch will be held in. Massages, facials and the works are available; with a calm Balinese-themed Meditation Room while you wait. The hotel resort also boasts several restaurants, including the fine-dining Michele's, a seafood-centered buffet on Thursday and Friday, and an Italian Restaurant with handmade pasta. There are often events held there, and the hotel is reasonably priced, four-diamond, and usually quiet.
Hiking, Fishing, Outdoor Activities at the State Parks
Delaware has a lot of great parks and beautiful scenery. We love Trap Pond, but there's a park in every corner of the state. We even got engaged at one, Brecknock in Camden; and had our engagement photos at Tidbury State Park. Tidbury even has a dog park for your furry friends!
Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth Beach has a small, fun boardwalk and a clean beach. It's got great nightlife and good food. Our first anniversary was celebrated at the Cultured Pearl, a fantastic sushi and seafood restaurant there. Food and Wine Magazine called it #3 in the country for sushi. If you'd like to have a beach day while you're in town, Crystal is always up for some sun!
