We are so excited to announce that our wedding date is set for Friday, November 8, 2024 in Big Island, Hawaii. The ceremony will be outside at Holualoa Inn, a tropical estate located on the slopes of Mount Hualalai. Cocktail hour and reception will be held at Sunset Kai Lanai, a restaurant about 15 minutes away. We visited Kona at the beginning of this year, and fell in love with the beauty and tranquil energy of the island. Big Island offers unique excursions and unmatched adventure. We plan on extending our stay on the island after the wedding to explore and hopefully spend extra time with any guests that choose to extend their stay as well. We are still in the planning process and will be updating this site as we can. We hope to see you all and celebrate in Kona! Love, Crystal & Chidi

It all began in the hallways of Wendler Middle School back in 7th grade. We met in Japanese class and quickly became friends with the same group of people. Crystal's first impression of Chidi was his infamous laugh (if you've heard his laugh attacks you know!). Chidi describes his first impression of Crystal like a scene from the movies thinking, "I can't believe there are girls like this in middle school." We became close friends after having several classes together. We were so inseparable that teachers often had to ask us to stop talking in class. In 8th grade, a defining moment occurred when Chidi mustered the courage to write a note that said, "I like you." Crystal, on the other hand, was not quite ready to reciprocate (or maybe admit that she reciprocated) those feelings. It wasn't until the summer before senior year that Crystal finally revealed her feelings, and on October 24, 2014, we officially became a couple. That marked the beginning of our amazing adventures that have spanned a decade. We can't wait to celebrate our 10th anniversary and embark on a new chapter of our lives!
