January 2019: Our first date! Daniel asked Catherine out to go to a comedy show. Catherine called her childhood best friend immediately after to say "It was so weird that it wasn't weird!" We hit it off and started going out pretty regularly from there. January 2020: Daniel moved to Mexico City for work, and we committed to making it work long-distance. March 2020: Daniel returned stateside due to the uncertainties of COVID-19. It was around this time we realized we really could make a beautiful life together, even if the world was falling apart outside. November 2022: Our first big international trip together took us to Nepal and India! May 2023: We moved into a house together in Ferndale, MI and made it a home. November 2024: Daniel proposed on the beach at sunset during a hike on the Nā Pali Coast in Kauai, HI. July 2026: Our Wedding! The day we make this beautiful life we have been building for the past 2,750 days official.
