Tina and I grew up nearby each other just outside of Washington, D.C. Although we met in high school, it wasn’t until college, where she was at JMU and I at UVA, that we became best friends. As it is common between guy and girl best friends, one always develops feelings, and that was 100% me. So much so that when Tina was studying abroad, I took a chance and flew out to visit her in Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest to work my magic and pitch a title change from best friend to boyfriend. And sure enough, shortly after returning to the States, Tina and I started dating. We had our first date in February 2020 and it wasn’t long until we met each other's parents as a couple during spring break that year. Little did we know, those spring break family introduction dinners would slowly become repetitive double dates with each other’s parents as Covid struck. No matter what life threw our way, we always grew closer and stronger. For what seems to be a tradition with the Serra-Gomes Family, Tina and I (much like her parents, uncles and aunts) have dated long distance for the past 3 years. From Cleveland, OH where I took a job with the Browns, an American Football Team, to Washington, D.C. where Tina stayed working, we have enjoyed all the steps along the way tackling the miles together. No better miles spent than when I drove down to Tina’s grandparents' family bay house in Kent Island, MD to pop the question. On May 11th, 2024, we got engaged where I had first met Tina's family 4 years prior and where we have made many memories with them since. From D.C. to JMU to UVA to Cleveland, we hope our story will bring you all to Portugal with us. We would love to see you on July 5th, 2025 to help us celebrate our special day!
