Tulum beach road is 3km of taco stands, hammocks, specialty mojitos, handicraft shops, cafes, beach clubs and delicious restaurants. Stroll on the main street or beach strip. Will need to go through hotel entrance to get to the beach but once on the beach it is all public. There are also bikes for rent as well. Check out Flor de Michoacan for ice cream, El Camillo for ceviche, Tequieria La Eufemia for tacos, shiva tulum for new age indian. Tulum town has a more traditional Mexican vibe with good shopping of local crafts. Both short taxi ride from the resort. Grab some friends/ family and make an afternoon of it.
Built on a bluff facing the rising sun, this ruin site is the only Maya settlement located on the beaches of the Caribbean. The views are amazing! Open 8AM - 5PM daily. Short taxi ride from hotel. Bring 30-40 Pesos for entrance. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

Cenotes are absolutely beautiful and very unique to the riviera maya. They are natural swimming holes in cave system. The famous and nearby ones are - Grand Cenote, Dos Ojos Cenote, Cristal and Escondido Cenote. You can visit all in one day and spend the afternoon snorkeling and swimming in these pristine caves. See link for information. All are short taxi ride from hotel. Bring Pesos for entrance fee!
Just south of Tulum lies the enormous Sian Ka’an Biosphere, a protected area home to thousands of species of flora and fauna, as well as some of the most pristine water in Mexico. Inside the park, you’ll find dolphins and turtles. Booking a tour is the best way to see this park, please check with concierge.
Tulum has world class scuba diving and numerous certified dive centers along its coast line. We hope to dive at some point during the week. If you are interested, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan together.
One of the best in Tulum! Casa Jaguar is well known for its tacos, ceviches and open air party. We recommend getting down there on a Thursday for their weekly jungle themed, under the stars DJ set; although, the lush surroundings, outdoor seating and exquisite cocktails are reason enough to attend any night.
