Mike & Laura met through mutual friends at a Christmas party in San Francisco. The introduction was a casual one and by no means meant to be a "set up," however, Laura was quickly wooed by Mike's confidence and warm spirit and knew she wanted to spend more time getting to know him. A month after meeting, Laura and Mike went out to dinner at Laura's favorite sushi place in the city. Of course, even after Laura made it somewhat evident that she liked Mike "more than friends," Mike never caught on. A week later, they went out to dinner again. This time, dinner was followed by drinks at the bar across the street that was having karaoke. After some liquid courage (aka "Sake"), Laura leaned in for a kiss and Mike was receptive. The rest is history.
