Places to Eat

For its small size, Charlottesville has an impressive amount of great restaurants. Below are some of our favorites.

Bodo's Bagels

http://www.bodosbagels.com/

Bodo's is a Charlottesville staple with a wide variety of bagels, sandwiches, and cream cheeses. Don't be deterred by the line - it moves quickly. We make sure to frequent Bodo's every day when we return to Charlottesville. There are three locations and parking is available at the Rt. 29 and Downtown/Preston Ave locations.

Ivy Provisions

Ivy Provisions is a great option for a to-go breakfast sandwich. The En Fuego wrap is one of Tomas's favorites.

South Street Brewery

South Street is a great option for lunch or just grabbing a beer. Located right off the downtown mall, there are plenty of parking lots and garages in the immediate vicinity. The Asian Pork Wonchos and Satan's Pony are good bets.

The Local

https://www.thelocal-cville.com/

The Local is one of our favorite restaurants in Charlottesville. If you're staying in Charlottesville longer, it's a great and reasonably affordable place for dinner. It is only street parking but it's generally never a problem finding parking in the area. Also by the Local is Mas Tapas which is another great option for cocktails and small plates.
