Residence Inn by Marriott Charlottesville Downtown

A block of rooms have been reserved at a rate of $229/night. The rate includes parking, breakfast and a shuttle service to/from CHO. Reservations must be made by September 30 to take advantage of the group rate and can be made by either clicking the link below or calling 888-236-2427 and mentioning the Fredrickson/Ducaud wedding. The Residence Inn is across the street from the downtown mall, which is where the welcome dinner will be held. It is very walkable to a ton of great restaurants, shops, and bars. On the day of the wedding, the shuttle will pick up here at 2:40 PM.

Flight

Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO)

CHO is located approx. 9 miles from the downtown area (~15 min drive) and will likely be the least stressful airport you've ever experienced. Very few airports fly directly into CHO and the flights tend to be more expensive.

Hotel

Hampton Inn and Suites at the University

A block of rooms has been reserved at a rate of $189/night. The rate includes parking and breakfast. Reservations must be made by October 15 to take advantage of the group rate. Please call the hotel directly at 434-923-8600 and mention the Fredrickson/Ducaud wedding block. The hotel is centrally located and is walkable to both the downtown mall area and the UVA corner area. On the day of the wedding, the shuttle will pick up here at 2:25 PM

Flight

Richmond International Airport (RIC)

RIC is located approx. 80 miles from the downtown area of Charlottesville (~1.25 hour drive). There are plenty of direct flights available into RIC and flights are generally much better priced than flights into CHO.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello

A block of rooms has been reserved at a rate of $119/night. Parking is included in the rate. Reservations must be made by September 26 to take advantage of the group rate. Please call the hotel at 434-977-5100 and mention the Fredrickson/Ducaud wedding block or click on the link below. The Holiday Inn is not the most walkable hotel option but is still within a 10 minute drive to downtown Charlottesville. On the day of the wedding, the shuttle will pick up here at 3:00 PM

Flight

Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD)

IAD is approximately 100 miles from downtown Charlottesville (~2 hour drive without traffic). This airport will have the most flight options and is likely the best option for international flights. Also note that United Airlines flies direct between IAD and CHO.

Hotel

Other Hotels/AirBnBs

You are welcome to stay at any other hotel or AirBnB in the area. However, the shuttle will only pick up guests at the three hotels listed above and you cannot drive to the venue. Accordingly, you will have to arrange to get yourself to one of the hotels prior to the designated pick up times (to be announced later).

Train

Amtrak (CVS)

There is a centrally located Amtrak station within walking distance of both the Hampton Inn and Residence Inn. Amtrak's Cardinal, Crescent, and Northeast Regional lines service the Charlottesville station.
