Yosemite National Park
Take in all the beauty that Yosemite has to offer. Our adventurous guests can hike or for those who want a more low key experience, there are plenty of places for photo ops and picnics. The bride and groom visited Yosemite together in April 2022 and hiked up to Nevada Falls before ending the day with a cold beer at Camp Curry. If you choose to hike, make sure to bring LOTS of water. Water sports
There are a few places around the lake to rent boats, paddle boards and jet skis. One marina is conveniently located at The Pines Resort. When we visited The Pines last time, Will took a jet ski out for a spin.
Hiking
There are several hiking trails located near Bass Lake, including one that takes you to a waterfall. Check out the AllTrails site for more information. *Please note that most of the trails require a permit to park but if you don't pre-pay, you will get a "ticket" on your car with directions on how to pay the $10 fee.
Geographic Center of California
Located just 30 minutes from The Pines Resort, you can visit the Geographic Center of California for a fun photo op! Please note there is very spotty service so it's best to download directions prior to leaving wifi and keep your eyes out for the marker because it's VERY easy to miss.
Buckhorn Saloon & Restaurant
Not far from The Pines Resort, this is saloon and restaurant has eclectic decor and a fun atmosphere.
