FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please allow enough time to find parking and getting to the chapel prior to the start of our ceremony at 4:00 pm. Carillon bells will start at 3:30 and can be enjoyed across campus.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by May 21st, 2025.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation! If you believe a partner or spouse has been left off by mistake, do let us know.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Everything is within walking distance, so there will not be transportation from hotels or between the ceremony and reception. We do not recommend moving your car between the ceremony and reception; be prepared for a walk of about a quarter-mile (400 meters). If you need accommodations, please let us know.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms with a discounted group rate here under the Costelloe-Previdi wedding.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our registry is available under the "Registry" tab of this website - thank you in advance!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend cocktail attire. We do anticipate there being some walking, so opt for more comfortable shoes. Summer in Chicago means any type of weather is possible and could rapidly change during the day. Bring your sunscreen, umbrella, and maybe a parka just in case!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is the Saturday after Juneteenth, so there will be tons of cool events across the city to check out! Expect some additional traffic and activity, especially if you're heading to Chicago's parks and beaches.

Question

Will any guinea pigs be making an appearance?

Answer

Pearl has respectfully declined our wedding invitation, but we are making sure to include her any way we can. She recently tried to bite off the main stone of Claire's engagement ring.

Question

Will I be asked to do math?

Answer

We can make no promises; Joe may start leading a math lesson after a few drinks.
