Travel Note
Downtown Denver is home to a variety of hotel chains (including Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott) as well as local options (such as airbnb and Bed and Breakfasts). We have listed a few of the hotels within the closest proximity of the church where the wedding ceremony will take place (St Paul's Lutheran Church, 1600 Grant St, Denver, CO 80203) but we encourage you to explore all options that would be best for you! Most importantly, we highly encourage you to book housing arrangements asap, given that housing in Denver fills up quickly, to ensure you get the best rate and that you secure a place to stay while you are in town.
House Or Rental
As an alternative to hotels, Airbnb provides a range of local accommodations owned by private home owners. While not always cheaper than hotels, many listings offer amenities such as full kitchens and separate bedrooms that offer a better value than hotels. Large airbnb homes might be good for accomodating more than one family, so these are a great option for large families and groups.
Hotel
The Warwick is the closest hotel from the church where our wedding ceremony will take place; a 4 min walk (1 min drive) from the church.
Hotel
The Hampton Inn & Suites downtown is the second closest hotel from the church where our wedding ceremony will take place; an 8 min walk (2 min drive) from the church.
Hotel
The Brown Palace Hotel is the third closest hotel from the church where our wedding ceremony will take place; a 9 min walk (2 min drive) from the church.
Travel Note
We know that a large portion of our family and friends will be joining us from out of town. For those of you who are flying into Denver International Airport (DIA) or dropping off a rental car at that location, we have listed some transportation options for your trip(s) to/from. The location of our wedding venues are intentionally as close together as possible and within walking distance to hotels and local transportation stops, to prevent our guests from having to rent a car.
Train
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) System has a train (Line "A") that travels directly from the Denver International Airport (DIA) to Denver's downtown Union Station in less than 40 minutes. From Union Station, you have a variety of options for how to access your secured lodging and/or St. Paul's Church, all of which will most conveniently laid out in realtime through Google Maps: (1) Catch the most direct train line or bus route in the RTD system, (2) Consult with your lodging host to learn if they have a shuttle from Union Station, (3) Enjoy a walk through downtown Denver, (4) Order an Uber or Taxi.
Rental Car
Uber is an easy way to get around Denver, Colorado without having to pay for a rental car or worry about parking. Taking an Uber from the DIA to downtown Denver is more expensive than taking a train, especially if you are the only person traveling. But, if you are traveling with several people, Uber may actually save you money and get you to your destination more directly.
Rental Car
For those considering renting a car, we suggest looking into Turo. It's a unique car-sharing platform where you can rent directly from local car owners, often at more affordable rates than conventional rental agencies. You can think of it as the Airbnb for cars. Although our wedding events are designed to be local transportation-friendly, Turo offers a budget-friendly alternative for those desiring the convenience of a car, which will be extra helpful if you are venturing beyond the Denver metro area!
