Question

Is this an in-person event in?

Answer

Yes! We are keeping the wedding small (~50 guests), so that we can maintain distancing as needed. We ask that you come only if you are feeling well and are not positive for COVID19.

Question

Will I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Masks are required inside venue for those who are *unvaccinated*, as. current Connecticut guidelines require all unvaccinated people to wear masks indoors and on public transportation. Masks are not required outside. Masking may be required on the shuttle to and from the venue, so please come prepared, even if you're vaccinated. Current CT COVID19 guidelines can be found here: https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/Latest-COVID-19-Guidance

Question

Should I get a COVID test before attending the wedding?

Answer

We encourage guests to get tested a few days prior to the wedding, especially if you are unvaccinated, experiencing symptoms, or utilizing air travel. If you test positive or have COVID symptoms, please do NOT attend. Keeping our loved ones safe is our top priority.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! We have plenty of parking at the venue, but we will also be providing a bus to and from the Quality Inn in Old Saybrook so that you can imbibe without worrying about driving. Please drive responsibly.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

How do I RSVP for the wedding?

Answer

You can RSVP for the wedding right on this website using the RSVP tab at the top of the page. We will open the RSVPs once we have sent the invitations.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is "garden party", but most importantly, we want you to be comfortable. Think Derby Day outfits. Light colored suits (jacket and tie optional), sundresses, maxi dresses, jumpsuits are all wonderful options. Fun hair accessories, just as fascinators are encouraged! The ceremony will be held outside on grass, so keep this in mind when picking out your outfit and footwear. The reception space is indoors and has AC.

Question

Do I have to stay at the Quality Inn

Answer

Nope! We have set up a block of rooms at the Quality Inn in Old Saybrook, but you can stay wherever you'd like. Keep in mind that the bus will only be picking up and dropping off guests to the Quality Inn, if you choose to stay elsewhere.

Question

Can you recommend any restaurants in the area?

Answer

Yes! Although Brian and I haven't gotten to try many of these restaurants, they have been recommended by friends. More info can be found under the "things to do" tab, but here is a short list: Liv's Oyster Bar and Restaurant, Cafe Routier, River Tavern, The Copper Beech Inn, Fresh Salt
