Chapter One: The Adventure Begins

We met, in mid-January of 2018, like many couples do--Bumbling around on the internet. We met up at a bar and found ourselves just in time for trivia night. Team EnzymeRacecar was a disaster—we have no trivia worthy knowledge, but we had a blast. Our life together has been filled with the kind of romantic dates you only find in a Hallmark movie. Strolls through the aisles at Ace Hardware. Good clean fun washing Zoey in the backyard. Trolling for tools at Harbor Freight. Refurbishing Craigslist finds. And more recently, stockpiling quarantine supplies at Aldi. Alright...Hallmark probably won't be picking up our story anytime soon. But we're writing our own narrative.

Chapter Two: The Quarantine Trials

In January of 2020, we moved in together as a trial run and BOY did the universe deliver. During quarantine and the long socially distanced months that followed, we bonded over our love of being outside. We took to the woods nearly every day, regardless of weather, to reconnect with a bike ride, walk, or run. Together we've wandered nearly every path we can find around our home and as the weather grew colder we have continued our adventures with indoor projects. Over the past three years we have loved and supported each other through challenges and frustrations. And we emerge from the dumpster fire flames of 2020 like a majestic phoenix. Okay, maybe not that graceful—more like the chicken thighs Brian forgot on the grill a little too long. Tougher on the outside, but surprisingly good on the inside.

Chapter Three: To Engagement and Beyond

After three crazy, amazing years together, Brian proposed to Corynne at Sleeping Giant State Park. Their dog, Zoey, didn't give two figs about the proposal and happily trotted around the cliff unsupervised during the entire auspicious moment. The cat, who did not join them for the outing, was equally unimpressed when she was later told. Brian and Corynne, however, are over the moon and cannot wait for the adventures and challenges of marriage.
