Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs
If you have extra time while visiting, we highly recommend a trip to Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Tucked into the mountains just outside of Steamboat Springs, these natural hot springs offer beautiful rock pools surrounded by forest and stunning views. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak after a day of travel or adventure in the mountains. Reservations are required. Shuttles are available for transportation to and from. Old Town Hot Springs
Located right in downtown, Old Town Hot Springs is a great place to relax and enjoy Steamboat’s famous natural mineral water. The facility features multiple soaking pools, lap pools, water slides, and a fitness center, making it a fun option for both adults and families. It’s an easy stop if you’re spending time exploring downtown and want to unwind with a soak in the hot springs.
Explore Downtown Steamboat
Take a stroll down Lincoln Avenue to browse local shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The downtown area also hosts events like art walks and live music throughout the year.
Fish Creek Falls
A short drive from town brings you to Fish Creek Falls, a stunning 283-foot waterfall with scenic viewpoints and hiking trails through the forest
Float the Yampa River
During the summer months, tubing down the Yampa River is a favorite local activity and a great way to cool off and enjoy the scenery. Can rent tubes from Backdoor Sports and buy tubes from Walmart, here in town.
Farmers Market
If you're visiting on a Saturday, don’t miss the lively Steamboat Farmers Market in downtown Steamboat Springs. Held along Lincoln Avenue during the summer and early fall, the market features local produce, fresh baked goods, artisan foods, handmade crafts, and live music. It’s a great way to experience the local community, grab a coffee or breakfast, and browse unique goods from regional vendors. Starts at 9am!
Yampa River Botanic Park
Spend a peaceful afternoon wandering the beautiful gardens at Yampa River Botanic Park, featuring dozens of themed gardens and walking paths along the river.
Steamboat Pro Rodeo
Experience a true Colorado tradition at the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series held at the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena. Taking place throughout the summer, this long-running rodeo features classic events like bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, and more. One of our favorite things to do! Steamboat has three great public courses — and at 6,700+ feet elevation, your drives fly about 10% farther than at sea level. Haymaker Golf Course is the top pick — ranked #5 best course you can play in Colorado by Golfweek and #1 Mountain Course by Avid Golfer. Steamboat Snow-capped Mount Werner frames many of the holes with 360° views of the Yampa Valley. TikTok 18 holes from $135, twilight rounds from $84. Rollingstone Ranch at the Sheraton is the upscale option — a Robert Trent Jones II design with Fish Creek winding through seven of the holes. An Adventurous World 18 holes from $159.
