Question

June Weather in Steamboat

Answer

We're getting married outside under the Colorado sky — and late June in Steamboat doesn't disappoint. Afternoons are warm and sunny, typically in the 70s with low humidity. Mornings can be chilly, so pack a light jacket. We'll have a tent on site for a little coverage, but plan to spend most of the evening under the sun and stars.

Question

When Should I RSVP By?

Answer

Help us keep the planning stress-free by RSVPing as soon as possible — and at the absolute latest by Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026. If we don't hear from you, we'll assume you're unable to make it and plan accordingly!

Question

Will Transportation Be Provided?

Answer

Yes! Shuttles will run from two centralized locations in Steamboat to the ceremony and back. There is limited parking at the venue, so please plan responsibly and RSVP letting us know whether you’ll need a shuttle or plan to drive. Locations for shuttles, please reference these addresses for choosing a place to stay should you want to take the shuttles to and from the venue. 1. Gondola Transit Center | 2305 Mt. Werner Circle (Mountain Side) 2. WellsFargo | 320 S Lincoln Ave (Downtown) There are parking garages located near the Gondola Transit Center and a parking lot at WellsFargo should you want to drive to the pickup locations and take the shuttle to the venue. Shuttles will depart from locations promptly at 3:00pm. We ask that all guests be at either pickup and ready at this time. Shuttles will depart the Ranch starting at 9pm. The shuttles will loop until 11:00pm, which will be the last shuttle of the night.

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be held at Grimes Ranch (address listed under the Schedule). We’ll have a shuttle to transport guests to and from the venue, but there is limited parking available at the Ranch. Please plan responsibly and RSVP if you’ll be driving or taking the shuttle so we can ensure everything runs smoothly.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We’re keeping it semi-formal/cocktail attire. Feel free to dress comfortably for dancing and exploring the Ranch. We also recommend bringing a light jacket in case it gets cool in the evening. Shoe Tip: If you plan to wear heels, chunky heels are recommended to avoid sinking into the ground.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Shuttles will leave town at 3:00 PM. If you’re driving or arriving by another way, please plan to arrive by 3:30 PM at the latest so we can get started right on time!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love kids, we’re planning an adults-only celebration for the weekend. The only children in attendance will be those in the wedding party and immediate family. We hope you can find a babysitter and enjoy the weekend with us!

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

We’ve reserved seats for invited guests only. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be indicated on your invitation.

Question

Where can we stay?

Answer

Grimes Ranch will have space available for invited guests who plan to camp. If you prefer a cabin, rentals are available 5–20 minutes away at The Glen Eden and The Steamboat Lake Outpost. Please note that there will not be a reservation block for these cabins, so we recommend booking as soon as possible, as they fill up quickly. There is a link provided with discounted hotels in the area for guests to stay and use the shuttle service. Check our Travel page for more information and for a discount to SkyRun Vacation Rentals.

Question

Can we bring campers, tents, or cars for the after-party?

Answer

Absolutely! We can accommodate campers, tents, and everything in between — you can even sleep in the back of your car. If you plan to stay after the reception, please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you’re planning to camp at the ranch, please plan to set up your RV or tent the day before the wedding. We’re hoping to keep traffic light on the big day so things run smoothly. Detailed logistics will be sent out two weeks before the wedding.

Question

What should we bring?

Answer

Bring your dancing shoes, smiles, and good vibes! If you’re camping, don’t forget any gear you’ll need for an overnight stay. Be sure to put on sunscreen before coming — we’ll also have a small basket of essentials available for anything you might need. The Ranch is outdoors, so plan for sun, wind, or cooler evenings. Hats, sunscreen, and layered clothing are recommended.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! We’ve also put together a list of registry gifts if you’d like to help us celebrate in that way. If you’d like to make our honeymoon even more special, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund—contributions will go toward experiences, adventures, and memories we’ll treasure forever.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! There will be a cocktail hour, dinner, and drinks during the reception. Dietary restrictions can be noted when you RSVP.

Question

Day After Celebration

Answer

While we won’t be having a welcome party, we’d love to keep the celebration going! Join us after the reception or the following day for a casual get-together, drinks, and time to continue celebrating together. Exact details and location will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Question

Will there be Restrooms?

Answer

Yes! Portable restrooms and a handwashing station will be available at the Ranch for all guests’ convenience. Please note that access to the Grimes home is restricted to the wedding party and immediate family only.

Question

Can we tip the bartenders?

Answer

Absolutely! Our bartenders are actually friends of ours — and while tipping is not required, it is always appreciated. A tip jar will be available for anyone who'd like to contribute.
