Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Mallory Staub

Maid of Honor

Corinne and Mallory met in late July, 1995 when Corinne was just three years old and Mallory was a sentient potato with no concept of the world. The two grew together as sisters, with a brother sandwiched in between them, and became thick as thieves as the years progressed. Corinne, whether she realized it or not, was a role model to Mallory and helped her grow into the human woman she is today, teaching her kindness, strength, and silliness into their 20s. Today you’ll find them bonding over their love for animals (especially opossums and raccoons), having kitchen dance parties to the tune of Kesha, probably going out to brunch with every chance they get, and generally giggling more than talking. God bless Segun for dealing with their chaotic energy since 2013.

Fraser Kidd

Best Man

Although most of their school days were spent with Fraser laughing at Segun and Segun not being happy about it, they managed to remain best friends throughout. Oceans have tried to diminish their friendship over recent years but failed miserably - their bond is too strong - even if it does take 2 weeks to get a response out of one another. Being asked to be Segun’s best man was one of his proudest moments, and he can’t wait to be there when these two beautiful people tie the knot!

Samantha Gross

Bridesmaid

Corinne and Sam met in their sophomore year at Washington College when Corinne and Segun escorted Sam's roommate home one night. A few months later Sam would join Corinne’s sorority and become her "little". Since then they’ve shared many an adventure through different states (and Spain).

Tolu Oyakhire

Best Man

Segun is someone very special to me, not only has he been a great brother but he has been a great role model, friend and mentor. From childhood days playing video games, going to the park and watching Manchester United together. Segun’s brotherly love and presence in my life has guided me into the young adult I am today and I’m honoured to be the best man of this wonderful union

Francesca Derderian

Bridesmaid

Corinne and Fran met when Fran joined ZTA and joined the "family" as Sam's sorority little. They realized they were both "Toll Troll" science nerds and hit it off. They lived together senior year, which included dance parties and Kittan snuggles. For a little bit of time they both ended up living in NC and got to have more adventures there!

Tad Derrick

Groomsman

Tad and Segun met on the Grounds of Washington College in the Spring of 2011 Their friendship grew through Phi Delta Theta. It was through Segun that Tad met Corinne and quickly realized there was something unique between Segun and Corinne. The friendship they had culminated in a senior year that no one will ever forget (or truly remember). After graduation though separated by distance they remain close through phone calls and weekend trips.

Emma Turi

Bridesmaid

Corinne and Emma met in the summer of 2016 and became roommates for TFA training. They were placed in the same school and soon moved into a beautiful 2 bedroom condo in sunny Clinton, NC. They survived a hurricane in that house and coming together of Poe and Roxy, our respective street animals. After 6 months, they got the hell out of Clinton and moved to Wilmington. In Wilmington, they joined a boxing gym so they wouldn't hit any kids on a daily basis and went to Duck Donuts to stop many tears after school. While I will treasure my TFA experience for many reasons, the best one is that I got an older sister. Corinne, my life is better with you. I am a better person and teacher because of you. I love you and Segun so much and I cannot wait to be a part of your special day.

Arron Lockwood

Groomsman

Arron and Segun first met in school. Unfortunately, after an incident involving queue jumping, and an ear that may or may not have been stepped on. Weeks later, after Segun didn’t attend the rumoured fight with Arron, they were able to laugh it off and start what became a life-long friendship. Despite being on the wrong side of the pond they try to hangout as often as possible and even exchange the odd text every now and then!

Danielle Altavilla

Bridesmaid

Danielle and Corinne met in Mr. Hadley's 6th grade classroom, and have indulged one another's craziness ever since. They've shared ski trips that ended in mild catastrophe, beach trips, midnight sled outings, beer cart salesmanship, and a love/hate relationship towards various old actors.

Tyler Abbott

Groomsman

🎵 I’ll be your American Boy 🎵 Segun and Tyler met late one evening at Washington College on the roof of their Fraternity house, taking in the views. Not long after, Segun would become Tyler’s big brother and the rest is history. Although separated by distance, not much time goes by without a meme or two to keep in touch and remind each other of the days when we would enjoy one too many drinks on a Thursday night.

Emily Sutton

Bridesmaid

Corinne and Emily met in tee ball before they realized that they were actually neighbors. Since then there have been many memories of: slinging panties into a tree during ski club, random dance parties, beach vacations, and tv marathons in the basement of her parents' house.

Tom Hughes

Groomsman

Segun & Tom’s friendship began on a High School rugby pitch. Segun, at the time, could easily be likened in American terms to a Running Back, with the physical attributes that can only be likened to that of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. That morning, Segun’s eyes were set, honed in on the ball being thrown towards him. But Segun, unknowingly, was still equipped with his thick woolly mittens, generally only purchased for treks of the Arctic. The ball slipped between those well insulated palms, slowly falling to the ground known in rugby terms as a ‘knock-on’. It was on this day, once Tom’s hysterics had passed, Tom knew Segun could match him for a sheer lack of common sense. And from that day forward, they embarked on a life-long friendship together, that not even battles on FIFA can destroy!

Esther Oyakhire

Bridesmaid

Growing up with Segun has taught me so many things. Hard work, kindness and how to never fall for the “Hey Esther! I bet you can’t get me some snacks and a drink in 10 seconds” trick. (Why was I so gullible!) But all jokes aside, Segun is the type of person to fill a room with laughter within five minutes, and the one to turn to whenever you had a problem because he was sure to have the answer. I can’t wait for him to embark on this new milestone and I couldn’t think of anyone better for him to experience it all with than Corinne.

Alexander Greenspan

Bridesman

Alex and Corinne met in North Carolina teaching the youths science (AKA setting lab desks on fire and dissecting ten year old fetal pigs and squids). They shared a healthy rivalry with the students, who were either "Team Greenspan" or "Team Staub" depending on which AP class they were taking. They shared their cozy Wilmington abode with Emma, Poe, and Roxy, and were sure to go to every brewery in the proximity.

Nicholas Staub

Groomsman

Hi. I'm Nicholas, Corinne's younger brother. We're only 21 months and one school year apart. She's been one step ahead of me throughout my life and that has been really comforting. New school year? Corinne did it last year, I got this. Group ski trip? Cool, Corinne's here if I split my head open. It's sad to think we won't spend hours playing Jetmoto 2, or burn holes in our palms in a Mario Party minigame, or sprint around 3 yards at night playing cops and robbers with combined friend groups, but that's because she's already another step ahead, living her best life with a wonderful person. Congratulations to you both. I love you and wish you nothing but happiness in the years to come.
