Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Corie Gonzalez and Aryan Shahsavari
The people who’ve helped shape our story, stood by us through every chapter, and now stand beside us as we begin the next. We’re so lucky to celebrate this moment surrounded by so much love, laughter, and loyalty.

Emma

Matron of Honor

What began as two competitive middle schoolers with a secret distaste for one another blossomed into the most secure and unwavering friendship I've ever known. I've been blessed to know Corie for about 15 years. Our friendship was solidified early on in our high school years and it withstood the ebbs and flows of our long-distance friendship throughout college and our early adult years. Corie checks off every box you would wish for as a best friend. She is strength, support, laughter, peace, love, honesty, wild, intellect, and so much more. I'm forever grateful that God gave me her. Now Aryan is the type of man every friend prays that her best friend is lucky enough to marry. He loves her, he pushes her to be the best woman she can be, and he supports her. He is the calm in her storm, the laugh that breaks up her tears, and the heart that loves unconditionally. Aryan not only stole the heart of my best friend, but my husband as well… so we are locked in for life! One of my greatest honors is that Corie has entrusted me to be her matron of honor. I'm so blessed to be able to stand by her side and watch her and Aryan make the most sacred promise to one another on their wedding day.

Sydney

Bridesmaid

I met Corie through my husband, Matt—they were friends first, but I quickly swooped in and stole her! I’ve had the joy of seeing Corie through so many seasons: the partying in college days, falling in love with Aryan, discovering her passion for yoga and wellness, and everything in between. We even got to live with Corie and Aryan for a few years, during which they helped raise our pup, Indy, and stood by us through the hardest chapter of our lives after losing our son, Brooks. Corie is the best aunt to our angel baby and the most loyal, grounded, radiant friend I could ask for. Watching her and Aryan grow together has been such an honor.

Luis

Bridesmaid

Corie & I met each other at the ripe age of 12 years old. We grew close when she was my Equipment assistant (aka water girl) & she saw me popping off on the baseball field in 7th grade. Since then we've had a sister & brother bond & shared infinite hilarious, devious & wholesome moments. Corie has always been a sister to me. She has always looked out for my best interests and is someone who will help you grow and elevate you to become the best version of yourself. Corie has always kept a tight circle of friends her whole life & I’m grateful to be apart those select few individuals that have been consistently by her side all these years. From Corie’s Quinceanera to now her wedding, it’s been a blessing to be apart all of Corie’s landmark events in her life so far and wish to be apart many more for years to come.  The moment Corie brought Aryan into our lives I knew there was something special about him. We clicked instantly & shared so many of the same interests. It was almost as if I found my long lost brother quizas?!? From creating bud he & becoming a nasty powerhouse DJ duo to infecting several of friend groups with our silly phrases, I knew that this was going to be lifelong friendship. Corie & Aryan are epitome of Yin-Yang, they balance each other out perfectly & bring out of best traits of each other. I’m very excited for the future of this powerful couple. I’ve always been grateful to have a sister in my life & I’m very excited to add a brother on June 6th!

Lakshman

Best Man

The weather was surprisingly nice that day for an Arizona summer. Aryan and I were riding scooters around the neighborhood believing we had the power to save the world from “The Grandfather’s” evil army of monsters hiding in Camelback Mountain. We had no concept of love, adulthood, marriage or responsibility; but I already knew that when he found his forever person I’d be standing right there next to him. Aryan has been a persistent force of love and support in my life. My best friend and brother. I could write a series of novels on our misadventures, on every moment that helped shape me into the person I am today. But I’ll leave the interesting stuff for the speech. Corie, my love for you has grown indescribably through all the crazy, silly, and meaningful moments we’ve experienced. While I may have known I’d always be there for Aryan, I am extremely proud to stand beside both of you. To love and support both of you on your wedding day, and for the rest of your lives together. Let life flow through you both and carry you forward as you continue this journey together. The only way to see the path in the wind is to become the wind itself.

Hamzah

Groomsman

I met Aryan about eight years ago and from the very beginning, we clicked. We shared the same values, culture, and sense of humor. It felt like I had known him forever. In fact, I saw more of myself in Aryan than in anyone else, even more than my actual twin brother. At this point, he might as well be my third twin. We’ve been through it all together, the highs, the lows, and everything in between, and every experience has only brought us closer. I couldn’t be happier that Aryan and Corie are tying the knot because if they weren’t, I might’ve had to put a ring on Aryan myself.

Will

Groomsman

I’ve known Aryan since our freshman year of high school and he’s been one of my best friends ever since. We’ve grown up together as neighbors, roommates, and habibi bros. Aryan has always been someone I can count on. He’s the kind of friend who’s there to listen to you and who can always make you laugh. I’m truly honored to be part of his wedding and proud to stand by his side. I’m excited for Aryan and Corie as they start this next chapter together. It’s been amazing to watch their relationship grow, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!

Bo

Groomsman

I’ve known Aryan since 5th grade when he saw me in a Pistons jersey and couldn’t believe someone actually rooted for them. We’ve been great friends ever since, going through middle school, high school, and college together. Through all the years, Aryan’s been a constant. He’s always down to hang, talk life, or play hours of basketball. We’ve shared a lot of laughs, some heartbreak as Suns and Pistons fans, and even helped each other meet our significant others. It means a lot to stand by him on his wedding day. I’m proud of the person he is and excited to see the life he and Corie build together.

Matthew

Officiant

Corie and I go way back, we met in junior high and stayed close through high school, so I’ve seen her through just about every chapter. I met Aryan when they started dating, but I actually begged her to invite him on a friends trip before I’d even met him, just from how she talked about him. He showed up and immediately felt like one of us. Over the years, the four of us even lived together for a while, and in that season, they truly became family to Syd and me. Being able to stand here and officiate their wedding is an honor I’ll never forget.
