Ride Sharing Services

San Diego loves their ride sharing services so this would be your best bet to and from the airport and around the city as you explore. Please note, they cannot get past security gate on base! Be sure to catch our caravan shuttle in the parking lot to the left as you enter base! Getting to U.S. Naval Base North Island

Our ceremony and reception will be held at the same location (indoor and outdoor) to make things easy! I-BAR Naval Air Station North Island Quintin Roosevelt Blvd. Coronado, CA 92118 Directions: From I-5 (either North or South) take the Coronado Bay Bridge (State 75) exit. Cross the bridge and continue until the first light, which is Orange Ave. Cross Orange Ave. and continue, now on 3rd St. Stay on 3rd St. until Alameda Blvd.; cross Alameda and continue and check in through the main gate. Continue on Tow Way Road. Make a left at the 3rd light onto Quentin Roosevelt Blvd. and proceed about ½ mi. The I Bar will be on the left between H and I Rd. Parking is available in unmarked spots in the lots along Quentin Roosevelt Blvd. and in the lot at the intersection of I Rd and Wright Ave. There will be a parking lot on the right hand side right past the building as well.

Shuttle

We will have a shuttle (minivan) for you if you decide to do a ride sharing service to the military base. This is because ride sharing services are not allowed to go past security gates on base and our venue is over a mile past the gate.  Shuttle Driver Name: Ron Byerly (active duty). Pick up/Drop off location: Parking area to the left as you enter towards main gate Shuttle Times: Between 2:30pm - 8:30pm Minivan Make/Model: Black Honda Odyssey . He'll have a sign in the window!

Rental Car

Consolidated Rental Car Center at Airport

All car rental pick-ups and drop-offs for rental car companies serving San Diego International Airport occur at the new Rental Car Center. Free dedicated shuttle buses will run continually to ferry customers between the airport terminals and the Rental Car Center.

If this is your first time or multiple time visiting San Diego, Yay! While researching room blocks at local hotels, we discovered that discount sites such as Trivago had better prices than when contacting the hotel reservation office. If you find your hotel on a discount site, make sure to call the reservation office first and discuss possible discounts like AAA. Good neighborhoods close are: Coronado, Downtown (Gaslamp, Seaport Village, Cortez Hill, Little Italy, Hillcrest) East Mission Valley, Harbor Island, Shelter Island, Old Towne, Liberty Station Neighborhoods to stay away from: East Village, Hotel Circle, Sports Arena/Rosecrans Two hotel suggestions are: Holiday Inn (619)224-3621, 4875 N Harbor Dr. San Diego CA 92106. Located on Liberty Station. Sofia Hotel (619)234-9200, 150 W Broadway San Diego CA 92101. This Navy lodge is open to active duty, military retirees or DoD employees and is right down the road from our venue and directly on the beach. Please note, they only allow you to book within 30 days of your stay.

Corey and I have rented through Air BnB in the past and always have had good luck with a nice place that wasn't a hotel but more like home.
