Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jen Duclos and Corey St. Pierre
San Diego is the 8th largest city in the U.S. and one of the top tourist destinations so there are so many things to do! We've listed a neighborhood map above and some favorite places of ours below. The city is made up of neighborhoods and each has it's own distinct vibe! We'll be sure to keep adding things as the date approaches! https://hotels.sandiego.org/attraction/list/246
Balboa Park

Balboa Park

1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101

Balboa Park is on of our top 5 places to visit! It is huge and has over 17 museums just to begin. Put on your walking shoes for this one and free concerts in the Spreckles Organ Pavilion and live jazz at Panama 66.

U.S.S. Midway Aircraft Museum

U.S.S. Midway Aircraft Museum

910 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA

The U.S.S Midway aircraft carrier is a site to see even if you don't have time to tour the carrier. It is located along the Broadway Pier area and I suggest getting some local fish with a gorgeous view at the Fish Market Restaurant!

Hotel del Coronado

1500 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118
, (619) 435-6611

We absolutely exploring the Hotel Del! Built in 1888, it is the second largest wooden structure in the United States and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977 and a California Historical Landmark in 1970. When it opened in 1888, it was the largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books. Be sure to search out the history of the ghost of Kate Morgan!

San Diego Farmers Markets

San Diego Farmers Markets

SoCal Farmers Markets are such an experience and we have many here (one each day of the week). Our favorites are the following - Ocean Beach (weds night), Little Italy (Saturdays) and Hillcrest (Sundays). So many samples of local flavors to try such as fruits, nuts, veggies, honey, chocolate, cheese and so on!

Liberty Station NTC Park

2455 Cushing Road, San Diego, CA 92106
, (619) 531-1534

Liberty Station is an array of fun shops, restaurants, museums, galleries, grocery stores, parks, walking trails and the newest addition, the public market. It is rich with history since it used to be the Naval Training Center!

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park

4002 Wallace Street, San Diego, CA 92110
, (619) 220-5422

Historic buildings include a schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, San Diego's first newspaper office, a cigar and pipe store, houses and gardens, and a stable with a carriage collection. There are also stores, with local artisans demonstrating their craft. There is no charge to enter the state park or any of its museums.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village

849 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101
, (619) 235-4014

Seaport Village is a collection of over seventy free-standing one-of-a-kind shops, galleries, and restaurants comprising a waterfront village on the San Diego Bay

Gaslamp Quarter

Gaslamp Quarter

770 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

The Gaslamp Quarter is a lively downtown neighborhood, known for its nightlife. Clubs, dive bars and cocktail lounges draw a young crowd, while the Spreckels and Balboa theaters have diverse programs of music, comedy and drama. It includes 94 historic buildings, most of which were constructed in the Victorian Era, and are still in use with active tenants.

Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach

Newport Avenue, San Diego, CA

Ocean Beach is a vibrant, bohemian neighborhood, with a classic SoCal beach vibe. Surfers and sunbathers fill the namesake beach, while Ocean Beach Pier is a popular local fishing spot with sweeping views. Nearby, Newport Avenue is lined with antiques shops, beachwear and surf boutiques, organic groceries, taquerias and brewpubs. The Ocean Beach Farmers Market features live music.
