10:30 am - 2:30 pm
ATTIRE: Beach vibes, baby! All you need is your swimsuit, a cover-up, comfy beach shoes, and a towel. We would also recommend sunscreen and bug spray!
This is a relaxed, optional day to hang out, mingle, and enjoy one of Manuel Antonio’s beautiful beaches. Feel free to come and go as you please! There are a few small bars and restaurants near the beach where you can grab a drink or a bite, or if you are feeling adventurous, rent a surf board and take on the waves! We’ll be swimming, soaking up the sun, and just enjoying the day, and we’d love for you to join us! Guests will need to arrange their own transportation and cover the cost of a lounge chair on the beach (if desired).
5:00 pm
This isn’t a formal event, but we wanted to let everyone know that Corey and Haley plan to grab drinks at El Avión this evening—and you’re more than welcome to join! El Avión is more than just a restaurant/bar; it’s a piece of history. The venue is built around a vintage Fairchild C-123 cargo plane, famously linked to the Iran-Contra affair in the 1980s. After being abandoned, the plane was transported to Manuel Antonio and transformed into a one-of-a-kind restaurant and bar. Set on a hill overlooking the ocean, it offers stunning views, a vibrant atmosphere, and a chance to enjoy food and drinks inside a repurposed plane—a truly unforgettable experience. We’d love to see you there! Please note, if you plan to eat dinner here you may need to make reservations.
4:30 pm - 9:45 pm
DRESS CODE: Cocktail chic. Think cocktail attire, but with the freedom to make it more tropical/trendy. The bride and groom will be in all white.
**We’ve arranged a shuttle to the rehearsal dinner, departing from The Parador Hotel at 4:15 PM sharp. The return shuttle will leave at 9:45 PM, though you’re welcome to head back earlier by cab if preferred! Surprise—it’s not the night before, but two nights before the wedding! We’ve scheduled the rehearsal dinner this way so Haley and Corey can enjoy the open bar without worrying about the big day. We also want all of our guests to feel their best for the wedding, so moving it up by a day just made sense! We’re thrilled to welcome everyone who made the journey to Costa Rica to join us for this special event. This will be a fun dinner and drink gathering for all wedding guests, including any children you may be bringing. Each guest will have a choice of 1 of 4 meal options for dinner which will be ordered at the restaurant upon arrival. I have mentioned the allergies that guests provided in their RSVPs, but please remind the staff when you order.
8:30 am - 1:30 pm
ATTIRE: A swimsuit, coverup, and comfortable boat shoes (and $113 cash to board shuttle).
**Pick up will be at 8:30am from The Parador Hotel and the price has been determined based on the final guest count. If you need to change your RSVP in either direction, please contact Haley first as this will change the cost for everyone.** This optional boat day includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, food, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and all necessary snorkeling gear. Once we leave the marina at 9:00am, we’ll sail along the stunning coastline and cliffs of Manuel Antonio National Park, heading toward Biesanz Bay. There, you can snorkel, swim, use the onboard slide, or simply relax on the boat. We will return to the marina at 1:00pm to board the shuttle back. ***The cost will be $113 per person (kids under the age of 4 are free), payable in CASH upon boarding the shuttle. Please bring exact change if possible.*** In addition to cash, be sure to bring a towel and sunscreen with you!
4:00 pm - 4:30 pm
DRESS CODE: Formal Tropical – Think lightweight suits or dress pants with button-down shirts & dress shoes/loafers for men (please no shorts, jeans, or open-toed shoes for men), and breathable midi/maxi dresses for women. We kindly ask our guests to embrace the bright, bold, solid colors of the tropics and avoid wearing black, white, or patterns. Dress code inspo photos: https://pin.it/sAr5u2D7Z
**Meet for shuttle in front of The Parador Hotel at 3:00 PM. Shuttles leave promptly at 3:15 PM. There is only one shuttle time—please don’t be late!** Weather permitting—& let’s pray it does—the ceremony will take place on the beach (~8 min drive from the Parador). Shuttle to the ceremony departs from The Parador at 3:15 sharp. Do not be late or you will miss it! The ceremony will take place on sand, so feel free to kick off your shoes when you arrive—Haley & her bridesmaids will also be barefoot! After the ceremony, hop back on the shuttles to return to the hotel for cocktail hour. While we truly love your children, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only day. For those who may need childcare, babysitters can be arranged, & Haley is happy to assist with coordinating if needed. We hope you understand that we’d like this one special day to spend with our friends simply as friends, not in the roles of mom and dad. We sincerely appreciate your understanding & support!
5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cocktail hour will take place immediately following the ceremony from 5:00 to 6:30 PM with appetizers and an open bar. Be sure to try one of our signature drinks—a Miguelito! This delicious cocktail is made with Costa Rica’s national liquor, guaro (Cacique), a clear sugarcane spirit, mixed with coconut milk. Think of it as a Costa Rican piña colada—it’s a must-try! The reception will follow from 6:30 to 10:00 PM, including a buffet dinner, a few heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing to keep the celebration going all night long! Guests staying at the hotel can head back to their rooms whenever they’re ready to call it a night. For those staying at the villa, a shuttle will be available at the end of the evening to take us back. *Please note, this is also a child free event.
