Barker-Ewing Whitewater
Whitewater rafting or scenic float trips. Both are down the Snake River
Jenny Lake Hike
Very popular, easy hike to a beautiful waterfall called Hidden Falls in Grand Teton National Park. If you just want to see the falls, there is a boat shuttle that will take you across Jenny Lake ($15 round trip). Or you can hike around Jenny Lake (about 4-5 miles round trip). One way shuttle tickets are also available.
Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center
Best place to start if you've never been to GTNP. Great place for kids as well. Samantha and Joey have an affinity for visitors centers, and this is a good one.
Horseback Riding
We recommend Turpin Meadow Ranch for horseback riding on the edge of the Bridger-Teton Wilderness with spectacular Teton views and amazing wranglers.

Best company for wildlife tours in Jackson Hole! (Except for Turpin Meadow Ranch, but the guide is getting married that weekend)
Phelps Lake Jumping Rock
A steady 1.5 mile (one way) uphill hike to the NW corner of Phelps Lake affords you the opportunity to make this 30ft jump into the rather chilly Phelps Lake with Death Canyon as the backdrop. Park and start hiking at the Death Canyon Trailhead!
Old Faithful Geyser
Old Faithful is located in Yellowstone National Park, north of Jackson Hole. It is about a 2.5 hour drive nonstop from Jackson to Old Faithful. Allow plenty of time because you will definitely be stopping!
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
One of Joey's favorite places in Yellowstone. Massive canyon cut by the Yellowstone River with incredible views of the 308ft Lower Falls. Stop in Hayden Valley on the way there from the south to see bison! 2.5 hours from Jackson.
Teton County Fair
The Teton County Fair is July 19-28, 2019! While it doesn't hold a candle to certain other fairs we know (shout out to Minnesota), it does have many fun activites--carnival rides, rodeo events, pig wrestling, figure 8 races, and so much more.
Granite Hot Springs Pool
Forest Service maintained natural hot spring pool tucked deep in Granite Canyon. About a 45 minute beautiful drive south of Jackson with the last 10 miles on gravel. $8 adult, $5 kid. Stop just before the hot springs and make the short walk down to Granite Falls! (and try to find the secret hot springs known as the Hippie Dip)
Scenic Safaris - UTV Rentals
Rent a UTV from Scenic Safaries in Jackson or rent one from Turpin Meadow Ranch. They are great for getting deep into the National Forests and going fishing. They are street legal so you can drive them off the lot in Jackson. Leave from Turpin to gain quicker access to the National Forests.
Jackson Hole Rodeo
The rodeo happens every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night in the summer at 8pm. Ticket prices vary from $20-$40. It is a classic Jackson Hole event and is truly a blast!
Bar J Chuckwagon
One of our very top recommendations. A fun evening served with a chuckwagon barbeque meal and cowboy entertainment--songs, stories, comedy, yodeling, fiddling and more. These guys are funny and extremely talented!
Fly Fishing
Plenty of local shops to rent gear or do a guided trip with. Rivers to fish: Snake, Buffalo Fork, Hoback, Gros Ventre, Flat Creek, Spread Creek, Black Rock Creek, Pacific Creek. You will need to purchase a fishing license.

One of our favorite restaurants and a popular spot for locals. Easily the best burger in town.
Dornan's - GTNP
Located in Moose inside Grand Teton National Park. Great for canoe/kayak/SUP rentals. Gas station. Small grocery, pizza, pasta, chuckwagon dinners, package store.
Silver Dollar Bar & Grill
Best place for live music every night. One block off the Town Square.
Cowboy Coffee
Our favorite little Jackson Hole coffee shop. Located on the Town Square!

Best place for breakfast or brunch hands down!
Snake River Brewing
Favorite local brewpub! Get the pretzel and cheese!
Roadhouse Pub & Eatery
Arguably the best beer in town. New Pub and Eatery is on the square and is quickly becoming a local favorite. Tap room is also in Jackson.
Thai Me Up - Melvin Brewing
Jackson Hole loves its Thai food! Thai Me Up is a local favorite because it is home to Melvin Brewing, one of the most popular breweries in the area.
