To quote When Harry Met Sally: "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." We know having a shorter than average engagement could make it more challenging for some guests to attend, so as much as we want everyone to be there, we truly understand if you can't swing it!
Yes! We did that on purpose. Our main reason for choosing a Monday over a weekend is to save money--weddings out here are expensive! We hope you understand our unconventional wedding date!
You will receive specific RSVP information with your invitation. Please RSVP no later than June 15, 2019.
We truly mean it when we say your presence is gift enough. However, if you're feeling extra generous, we are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, REI, and The Everyday Gourmet for a few things to get us started in our newlywed life!
There are TONS of lodging options in and around Jackson Hole. It is a huge area, and we couldn't begin to list all of your choices! The town of Jackson will have the most options, but may also be the most expensive. You may also look in Wilson or Teton Village, Wyoming, or Victor or Driggs, Idaho. There are a few options in Moran, Wyoming, where the venue is as well. Under the travel tab, you'll see just a few recommendations we have. The internet is a great resource for you here, from finding everything from free campsites to the Four Seasons.
If you're able, we do recommend renting a car. There is some public transportation available in the town of Jackson, and we will have a shuttle going to and from our wedding venue. However, if you'd like to truly experience this area for everything it is, it might be worth it to have a car available to you to explore Grand Teton National Park or go shop around the town square. Jackson does have Uber and taxi services, but they can get expensive. It's totally up to you!
Yes! Wyoming is very spread out and Jackson Hole is no different. Pack your patience and enjoy the drives to different places. Allow a little extra time as you never know when you'll hit a bear jam or bison jam. These are real!
Both! Specifically the main town's name is just "Jackson." The entire area is called Jackson Hole. There are about 5-6 "towns" in Jackson Hole, including Jackson. Early explorers referred to valleys as "holes" because they generally first saw them from up high, making the valley look like a "hole" in the surrounding terrain.
Jackson, Wilson, and Teton Village, along with the immediate surrounding areas have great LTE coverage. Once you enter Grand Teton National Park your phone can show coverage most of the time but the towers have trouble handling the volume of people on them. Don't rely on that coverage. We call it fake coverage. Moran basically has ZERO cell phone coverage. Rely on the Wifi at your hotels. Victor and Driggs will both have great 4G and LTE coverage. Teton Pass headed to and from Victor/Driggs can be spotty. Yellowstone has ZERO coverage and ZERO wifi. It is VERY remote. Go prepared.
