It's our neighborhood and near the venue - many cute houses, coffee shops, and Ukrainian restaurants and an art museum. Come check out and walk around in the spring. Good lunch include Ann's Bakery, Kasia Deli, and Tuman's Grill/Tap
Tons of upcoming food and bars to check out and explore
Best way to see Lake Michigan - be careful it can get windy! Great views of the city and lakeside (right next to a lot of museums and aquarium) if the weather permits.
How else can you prove you came to Chicago if you didn't go to the Bean? Go to Cindy's Rooftop after or as an alternative to see it if it's too cold out
World class and an amazing place to get lost in, or play Ferris Bueller on your day off/pre-wedding
Walk along the River Front - it's more sheltered from the Lakefront but still see the architecture. Some of the little bars may not be open (wait for summer!) but check out the igloos if they're up!
If you're a cyclist or a runner, this (and the lakefront) are the spot to check out! There's a 3 miles back to back on a highline and brings you through Logan Square, Wicker Park/Bucktown all the way to Ashland road near our old neighborhood
One of our favorite brunch places if you want good Tex Mex. Small seating area (imagine bar stools like a dinner), so not the best for big groups though
We are frequent fliers here - the portions are big, save room for some pastries too!
This was our first neighborhood coffee shop at our first apartment together -- features Dark Matter coffee (a Chicago classic- get it if you see it elsewhere!) and old school Nintendo games
Near our old neighborhood in West Town, small old school Italian bakery and deli with sandwiches to go. Lines pack up on the weekend but worth the wait
Maybe you won't have dinner with all the partying, but it's our favorite non-authentic Chinese food place and cocktail bar
There's a fabulous Latin themed bar with main location in Logan Square and also a sister location in Fulton Market - highly rec for good Latin liquors and drinks. Alex's favorite place to dance, that isn't really a dance bar
Your favorite cocktail bar with a dive bar feel. Patio included and sometimes has some popup events
One of our favorites in South Loop when Nick lived downtown - free comedy on Thursdays, and great beer and burger selection
Can be a bit packed but excellent cocktails and rooftop view of the park downtown
The best small funky, late night dance club, previously within walking distance of our old apartment. Themed nights make this even more fun
We did some our engagement photos here! Gorgeous in bad weather
