Ireland’s main airport. Dublin is located on the east coast of Ireland about 80 miles NE of Kilkenny. As the largest airport in Ireland, Dublin has plenty of non-stop flights to the US. Getting to Kilkenny From Dublin, Kilkenny can be reached by car, bus, and train, all of which take about 1.5 hours. If you do not want to deal with driving on the opposite side of the road, we will be arranging train tickets for those traveling from Dublin to Kilkenny on Saturday, August 30th. Please RSVP for the train ticket so we can book you all in one train car.

Shannon airport is a small international airport located in the southwest of Ireland along the coast. The airport is about 90 miles due west of Kilkenny, which takes just under 2 hours driving. Getting to Kilkenny If you are flying into Shannon, renting a car and driving will be the easiest way to get to Kilkenny. You should consider flying in or out of Shannon if you are planning on traveling to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Ballybunion, or the Dingle peninsula.
