We are getting married on an island! This page contains information on travel to the Island, helpful for locals and non-locals!

Flight

Portland International Jetport

This is the closest airport to the venue. If possible we recommend you fly in here, because you won't have to rent a car. Taxis or Ubers can easily be arranged to take you to Portland hotels, or one of the two ferry landings that take you to Chebeague Island.

Flight

Boston Logan International Airport

If you plan to fly into Logan you will have to rent a car and drive approximately 2 hours to Portland. The two ferry's which will take guests to Chebeague Island are not able to transport cars, so you will also have to secure a place to park you car for the weekend as well.

Travel Note

Chebeague Transportation Company Ferry (Getting to the Island)

Chebeague Transportation Company departs from Cousin’s Island in Yarmouth, Maine. Most guests of the inn use this ferry because it’s only 15 minutes, runs almost every hour and lands a short walk from the Inn. If you’re driving, you’ll want to park in the satellite parking lot on Route 1 in Cumberland, and then take the complimentary shuttle to the ferry. If you’re taking a cab or Uber from the airport or bus station, you’ll want the cab driver to bring you to the end of Wharf Rd on Cousin’s Island, Yarmouth, Maine. The last ferry leaves the island at 9:15pm.

Travel Note

Casco Bay Lines Ferry (Getting to the Island)

Casco Bay Lines departs from Portland and is a scenic ride that stops at four islands along the way with an audio tour, taking about 1.5 hrs to get to Chebeague. This is a great option if you have the leisure of time and want to experience Casco Bay. This ferry lands at Chandler’s Cove which is on the other side of the island. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the inn, if you're taking this ferry, please let us know so we can ensure there is transportation waiting for you when you arrive. The last ferry leaves the island at 9:55pm.

Travel Note

Water Taxi to Chebeague Island (Getting to the Island)

Water taxis are more expensive ($140 one way) than the ferries to get to Chebeague but a wonderful experience. They provide flexible timing and can in general accommodate up to 6 people which spreads the cost across multiple people.
