Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Bermuda?

Answer

Yes — a valid and up to date passport is required for all visitors traveling to Bermuda

Question

What currency is used in Bermuda?

Answer

Bermuda uses the Bermudian Dollar (BMD), which is pegged 1:1 to the U.S. Dollar ($1USD = $1BMD). Most credit cards are also accepted (Discover cards can be tricky) Good news for guests: • U.S. Dollars are accepted everywhere on the island • Prices are typically listed in Bermudian dollars, but you can pay in USD without needing to exchange money • Change may be given in Bermudian dollars, which look different but have the same value

Question

Will my phone work in Bermuda?

Answer

Most major carriers offer international plans. Check with your provider before traveling, or expect roaming charges.

Question

When should I arrive in Bermuda?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding events begin so you can settle in and enjoy the island. Room blocks will be made available for your travel plans.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Bermuda is warm, sunny, and tropical. Evenings can be breezy by the water, so a light layer is recommended. Average daytime temperature: ~ 27 °C (about 80–84°F) Average nighttime temperature: ~ 24–26 °C (75–79°F) Relative humidity: Around 76% on average. Heat index (how hot it feels): ~ 29 °C (84 °F), assuming typical humidity and light breeze

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, and you know them best. If bringing your child means you’ll be able to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the moment with us, they are welcome. If you feel you’d be more present without them, we completely understand. Please choose whatever will make the weekend most enjoyable for you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Men - Bermuda Formal - standard formal Bermuda attire - Bermuda shorts, knee high socks, blazer. **Fun fact: The look is rooted in island history: British military officers in Bermuda wore long jackets but switched to shorter pants for comfort in the heat** Women - Garden Party Chic - Think elevated island elegance: breezy fabrics, joyful colors, summer suits, floral dresses, chic sandals or wedges.

Question

How do I get from the airport to my accommodation?

Answer

Taxis are readily available, and most accommodation will be 20–30 minutes away. Cash is easiest (~$50- $70) as some taxis aren't equipped with cash apps/ credit card terminals.

Question

Are there other accommodations?

Answer

There are several options if you would prefer to stay offsite (you can do more digging on a quick google search or through gotobermuda.com )- • Hotels & Resorts • Boutique stay - guest cottage or inn • Vacation Rentals - airbnb, vrbo, vacationhomesbermuda https://www.gotobermuda.com/places-to-stay/vacation-rentals

Question

What should I know about getting around in Bermuda?

Answer

🚍 Getting Around Bermuda Bermuda is easy and fun to explore, but transportation works a little differently than in many places — here’s what you should know: 🛵 No Rental Cars (Except Tiny Electric Ones!) Visitors cannot rent standard cars in Bermuda. Instead, guests can rent small 2-seater electric microcars (like the Tazzari or Renegade) or scooters. These are great for short distances, but keep in mind: • Roads are narrow and winding • Driving is on the left side • Parking can be limited in popular areas They’re best for confident drivers who want flexibility. **Top tip: if you are planning on drinking, please do not plan on driving** ⛴️ Ferries — Scenic, Fast & Highly Recommended Bermuda’s ferry system is one of the easiest ways to get around and offers gorgeous views of the harbor. Ferries run between Hamilton, Dockyard, St. George’s, and a few smaller stops. • Runs frequently during the day • Clean, reliable, and breezy • Perfect for avoiding traffic This is often the most relaxing way for guests to travel between main areas of the island. 🚌 Public Buses — Easy & Island-Wide Buses connect almost all parts of Bermuda. They’re air-conditioned, safe, and budget-friendly. • They run on fixed schedules from early morning into the evening • Pick up a transportation pass for ease of use (cash works as well) • Great option for sightseeing or getting to beaches and landmarks 🚕 Taxis — Readily Available, But Limited at Peak Times Taxis are easy to find around hotels, the airport, Hamilton, and Dockyard. You can also call or use apps to request one. Just remember: • They can be scarce during late nights or big events • Fares are metered and regulated • Ideal for groups or when dressed up for events ✔️ Walking — Lovely in Towns • Not ideal for our venues, but take some time to walk through any of our 'cities' Hamilton, Dockyard or St Georges

Question

Is there transportation between events?

Answer

We are still working on this, but are planning to provide transportation from the ceremony to the reception.

Question

Wait! I am all in on this Bermuda shorts thing - where do I get them?

Answer

There are a few local places to pick up Bermuda shorts- • TABS Bermuda- TABS has modern takes on Bermuda shorts including different fabrics and colors https://www.tabsbermuda.com ** TABS has a 'how to wear' section for additional information and breakdown https://www.tabsbermuda.com/pages/howtowear • The English Sports Shoppe - located in the city of Hamilton - they are still working on their website but have more traditional fabrics/ colors https://theenglishsportsshop.com/

Question

Are there big chain stores (like Target or Walmart) in Bermuda?

Answer

Nope! Bermuda is blissfully Target-free. There’s no Walmart, CVS, or anything with 47 aisles of convenience items that you didn’t know you needed. The island has small local shops and pharmacies, but they’re limited — so if you can’t live without a specific snack, sunscreen, or your favorite brand of toothpaste, pack it!

Question

When do Bermudian shops decide they’ve worked enough for the day?

Answer

Most stores in Bermuda close pretty early — usually around 5–6 PM, and even earlier on Sundays (if they open at all). But don’t worry! Restaurants and bars stay open later, so while you might not be able to buy sunscreen at night, you can absolutely still get a cocktail.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We love that you want to share the celebration! Please check your invitation — if a plus-one was included, it will appear by name or be noted as “and guest.” If not, we’re keeping the guest list limited to those who know us well. We hope you understand, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question
