The place where Erin's childhood dreams were made. Best local beach in our opinion! Check out the Ocean View Restaurant while you're at it.
Watching the Sunset at the End of the Island - Fort Fisher
If you drive all the way to the end of the island, past the Fort Fisher Historic Area, you can sometimes get a great view of the sunset over the water, and maybe spot an egret or two as well! Pro Tip: pack bug spray
New Hanover County Arboretum
Feed the koi at your own risk ;)

Great shopping, lots of local small businesses. Great coffee shop called Java Dog as well.

Long Leaf Park
Huge playground, ninja course, splash pad, dog park, and a little pond with a fountain and a gazebo. Great loop for walking as well.
