When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 2nd, 2026. Due to set numbers we will not be able to accept RSVPs after this date.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We will beginning the ceremony promptly at 4:30pm. We ask guests to arrive comfortably before the ceremony at 4:00 pm, allowing time to park, sign our guest book, and to seated before the ceremony begins.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Cocktail attire: We would love to see our friends and family dressed up for our special day, avoiding jeans and shorts. Have your dancing shoes ready!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, our space is limited and we are unable to accommodate additional plus ones for this day. Please reference your invitation and RSVP to clarify those named with additional guests invited to our wedding ceremony and reception.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore children, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding and hope you will enjoy a night away from the kids to celebrate with us!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Both the Ceremony and Reception are located at the Surety Hotel. The hotel has parking avaible for those staying at the hotel only. We recommend, for those not staying at the hotel, parking in the two parking garages in the area, listed in the Travel tab. Des Moines also has many different Ubers and/or Lyfts for those indulging in adult beverages.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are aware of family and friends with gluten allergies and lactose intolerances. Please reach out to the groom or bride for any additional accommodation requests.
