FAQs

The Wedding Website of Colleen Bernhard and Zachary Del Nero
Question

1.  What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no narrow dress code, but cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks (ties optional) are all encouraged. We’ll be celebrating in a funky art-filled space, so fun colors, accessories and/or anything that makes you feel amazing is great.

Question

2. What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Mid-July will be hot and humid!

Question

3. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

There will not be a ceremony, as we’ve already gotten married, but the reception will be hosted at the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philly. The Fleisher was founded in 1898, and is one of the country’s oldest nonprofit community art schools. Both Zac and Colleen have taken classes there and are so happy to celebrate and support such a great local institution.

Question

4. Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Pending weather, the reception will be both indoors and outdoors. We hope to host the cocktail hour outdoors in the park attached to the Fleisher. We will then welcome guests into the galleries and sanctuary for the dinner, dessert, and dancing portions of the night! If it rains, we will be inside for the whole event.

Question

5. Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

We plan to host a casual welcome party on Friday night the 17th. Everyone who has come in from out of town (or lives here and wants to say hi) is welcome. No specific dress code — but shorts, polos, button downs, sundresses etc. are encouraged. Dress for the weather as it will likely be outside. More details on exact timing and location to come. We will keep you updated if anything is planned for after the reception Saturday night or for Sunday morning. Stay tuned.

Question

6. How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

The venue is in the heart of the Bella Vista neighborhood in South Philly. It is accessible via car, bus, and by foot. The Broad Street subway line can also work, but will include a 20-minute walk. Car: If you are driving, there is a parking lot specifically saved for our guests across the street from the venue (accessible via Catherine or Christian Streets, between 8th and 9th). You can also take an Uber or Lyft from wherever you’re staying. Bus: SEPTA’s Route 47 bus runs south on 8th Street from Center City and stops at the corner of 8th and Christian, one half-block from the Fleisher.

Question

7. What time should I arrive?

Answer

The event starts at 6:00pm and there will be a welcome address around 6:30pm. Please plan to arrive on time so you have time to say hi and get a beverage before we kick off the festivities!

Question

8. Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

An entire parking lot is reserved for those driving to/from the venue the night of the reception.

Question

9. Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, the reception will be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Question

10. Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your official wedding invitation (to come).

Question

11. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block and encourage guests to look into hotels and Airbnbs in surrounding neighborhoods. See the “Travel” section of this website for more. Please also note there are other lovely neighborhoods to stay in more north of us (Fairmount, Brewerytown, Northern Liberties, Fishtown) but we’ve suggested neighborhoods that are a bit closer to our venue. Friends and family have stayed in Marriotts and Hiltons in Center City as well as Airbnbs in South Philly while visiting and enjoyed their stays! If you have specific questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Question

12. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before June 18, 2026. Instructions to come with the official invites.

Question

13. Is the reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, Fleisher encompasses 717 – 709 Catharine Street, and curb ramps are located on 7th and 8th. The main entrance at 719 Catharine has a lift for those using mobility devices and is available during operating hours. The building is also serviced by an elevator.

Question

14. Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour and the reception?

Answer

Yes! We’ve sourced all local vendors and caterers and are excited to share their fabulous food and drink with you. There will be a grazing table of light hors d’oeuvres as well as a bar serving beer, wine, and a signature cocktail and mocktail set up during cocktail hour. Dinner will be buffet-style, followed by an unbelievable selection of donuts for dessert. Please let us know if you have any allergies or restrictions. The bar with beer, wine, and cocktail/mocktails will also continue throughout the night!

Question

15. Where are you registered?

Answer

We have registered for a few fun upcoming experiences as well as a few items we need for our new home. A link to our wedding registry can be found under “Registry” on our website.

Question

16. Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Answer

Yes, we’ve listed a few already for your mornings in the city on the “Things To Do” tab. If you are extending your stay or are in need of dinner recommendations or anything else to do, please do not hesitate to reach out. We have plenty to recommend!
