Benchtop Brewing Company
This is Colleen's parents' favorite brewery in the area (and they know craft beer)! A common thing for Colleen and I to do is order a pizza from bakehouse and eat it here. You can scan a QR code at the brewery to order pizza and they will bring it over.

One of Johnny's favorite breweries in Norfolk, biggest space and great cocktail bar upstairs.

Colleen and Johnny's favorite restaurant in Norfolk! Amazing food! On the more expensive side but worth it in our opinion.
Leone's Italian
Local Italian restaurant that we like. Good cocktails.
Cure Coffeehouse
Best, albeit most expensive, coffee shop in Norfolk. Their lattes are amazing (our faves are the cinnamon honey and the churro flavors).
Virginia Cheese Co.
Great sandwich place that is like a French cheese shop. Our favorite is the prosciutto and brie.
Mr. Shawarma
One of Johnny's favorite quick spots to eat, great Israeli food!
The Bakehouse at Chelsea
Amazing pizza, but it is only take out. However, Benchtop Brewing is very close and you can actually order pizza at Benchtop and they bring it to the brewery.
Lo Mo Pizzeria
Really good pizza place, close to Colleen's parents house.
Pendulum Fine Meats
Amazing sandwich spot that is also a butcher shop. Great, high quality meats.
PIXELS Pints & Bytes
Fun spot to grab a beer and play some arcade games!
Commonwealth Brewing Co
Best brewery in the area but also the furthest from Norfolk, about a 20-30 minute drive.
Elation Brewing
Really fun brewery with great outdoor seating that also serves Bakehouse pizza.
Lolly's Creamery
Great ice cream spot!!! Our favorite is the cookie monster (cookie dough, oreos and sweet cream ice cream).
USS Wisconsin BB-64
A battleship from World War II that you can take a tour of. Great piece of history that pays homage to Norfolk's Navy roots.
Nauticus
Good Naval museum that offers a wealth of history.
Chic's Beach
Great beach spot that is a little far from Norfolk. Parking can be really difficult though.
Ocean Front Avenue
Strip that abuts the oceanfront of Virginia Beach with a bunch of fun stuff to do that is about 20-30 minutes from Norfolk. Good bars, restaurants, and entertainment.
The Restaurant at Four Eleven York
Great happy hour and solid food.
Chrysler Museum of Art
Art museum that punches above its weight, considering Norfolk's size. Free admission in the middle of Norfolk, so very accessible! If you are into art, definitely recommend.
Colley Avenue
Great street to walk down with plenty of restuarants and shops. In the middle of Ghent, which is a pretty neighborhood that EVMS is located in.
Freemason
Really pretty neighborhood of Norfolk that we both live in. Free Mason Street is a beautiful cobblestone street that ends on the water.
Waterside District
Big spot for a few restaurants on a marina that overlooks the water. It is right next to Town Point Park. Johnny runs past this spot almost everyday.
Elizabeth River Trail - Ghent Loop
Pretty trail to walk or run along that takes you all through Norfolk along the Elizabeth River. Important to note, we do NOT recommend going past the Norfolk Tides Stadium, aka Harbour Park.
