We met during a social event at the beginning of medical school in 2021 through our now-roommates, Ben and Leah, and immediately got along well. Then, completely by chance, we ended up in the same small group for cadaver dissection for the first few months of school. Incredibly romantic... Through that, though, we ended up becoming fast friends and studied together almost every day after class ended, often for hours on end. Colleen lived 25 minutes from school, so on weekends when we were out with friends, she would even couch surf at Johnny's apartment to avoid Uber surges and drive home in the morning. By October, Johnny decided he liked Colleen as more than a friend and invited her on a pumpkin carving date. She said no. He politely gave up and we remained just friends for the time being. Two months later, however, Colleen (following a pep talk with her Norfolk friends, shoutout Sophie!) admitted that she had actually developed feelings for Johnny, too, and we decided to start going on dates, becoming even more attached at the hip. By February, it was love. By April, it was official. A few years later, in August 2024, Johnny proposed at his family lake house in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a complete surprise and the best day ever. We have been through 3 and a half years of medical school, two intense board exams, weddings, birthdays, losses, and long distance and have remained best friends. We are so excited to finally become husband and wife and join our two amazing families together. Thank you for being a part of all of it, helping us become who we are today. You are one of our most cherished people. Welcome to our wedding website!
