Flight

USA Guests - San Andrés International Airport

To arrive to the island from the US, it is usually broken up into 3 different flights, sometimes 2 if you find more direct options. Flight #1: Depending on your home airport, you will almost always connect in Miami. There are some other airports, like Denver or Houston, that have connections. Some Options -Denver/Houston to Panama (*Copa) -Denver/Kansas City to Miami Flight #2: Right now, there are no flights directly from Miami to San Andres Island. However, sometimes Copa or American adds these flights, so check back in the future. Otherwise, you can fly to Panama or there are a few major cities to fly into in Colombia including Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena and Barranquilla. We recommend Cartagena and Barranquilla and we like to fly American, United, Spirit or Copa airlines. Some Options -Panama to San Andres (*Copa) -Miami to Panama (*Copa) -Miami/Houston to Barranquilla/Cartagena Flight #3: Panama and major Colombian cities all have direct flights to San Andres. Only a short flight gets you to the island! You can fly Copa/LATAM or there are a couple new budget airlines that have started flying to the island that are great options, including Wingo, which we love. *Usually cheapest option Tips: 1. We almost always use Google Flights to find the cheapest options. However, sometimes Google Flights does not show all flight options (ie: Copa and Southwest). It's always best to check directly with the airline! 2. You can set a flight tracker on Google Flights and it will email you when the price drops. 3. Sometimes flights are cheaper if you book legs separately, for example, booking from your home airport to Colombia and then Colombia to the island. Just be aware, if you book separate legs, and there is a delay, airlines will not usually help you rebook. 4. Copa sometimes has one way flights to San Andres that are cheaper. Contact Ash (816-465-1513) if you would like help booking flights and finding the cheapest options!

Las únicas ciudades en Colombia con vuelos directos hacia San Andrés y que por ende son las opciones mas económicas son: -Barranquilla -Cartagena -Cali -Medellin -Bogotá Viajar desde otras ciudades como Santa Marta, Valledupar, Bucaramanga o Sincelejo puede salir mas costoso por que tienen que tomar dos o mas vuelos. Tarjeta de Tourismo / Tourist Card

Antes de viajar a la Isla de San Andrés, debes adquirir una tarjeta de turista en tu aeropuerto de origen. A partir de 2024, la tarjeta cuesta 137.000 COP (~$32 USD) por persona y debe presentarse al llegar y salir de San Andrés. Es posible que si la compras en el aeropuerto de origen solo acepten efectivo. ¡Con Wingo, puedes agregarla fácilmente a tu reserva de vuelo! IMPORTANTE: No pierdas tu tarjeta de turismo. Debes presentarla al salir de la isla. Before traveling to San Andres Island, you must purchase a tourist card at your airport of origin. As of 2024, the card costs 137,000 COP (~$32 USD) per person and must be presented when arriving and leaving San Andres. It is possible if you buy it at the airport of origin that they only accept cash. With Wingo, you can easily add it to your flight reservation! IMPORTANT: Do not lose your tourism card. You must present it as you are departing the island.

Rental Car

Centro de la ciudad - Mula para Rentar / Downtown - Golf Cart or "Mula" Rental

La isla es pequeña y se puede hacer un recorrido completo por toda la isla conduciendo mas o menos 2 horas. La mejor forma de hacerlo es alquilando un carrito de golf o lo que los lugareños llaman "Mula". Recomendamos encarecidamente recorrer la isla de esta manera y te ayudará a que todo el viaje sea más fácil para llegar a diferentes lugares. Algunas opciones sobre cómo alquilar: 1. Alquilar a través del hotel (normalmente sale un poco más caro) 2. Alquilar con antelación a través de Viator, enlace anterior, un sitio web de viajes turísticos de confianza 3. Ir al centro de San Andrés y buscar un lugar con muchos carritos de golf aparcados y negociar el precio y el tiempo. (Ver dirección). The island is small and you can do a complete tour around the whole island driving in about 2 hours. The best way to do this is by renting a golf cart/side-by-side or what the locals call a "Mula". We highly recommend seeing the island this way and it makes the whole trip easier getting around to different places. A few options on how to rent: 1. Rent through the hotel (comes out a little more expensive usually) 2. Rent ahead of time through Viator, link above, a trusted travel tours website 3. Go to downtown San Andres and find a location with a lot of golf carts parked and negotiate the price and time. (See address) Lots of people on the island speak English!

Hotel de la Boda / Wedding Hotel - Hotel Cocoplum Beach

Aquí es donde tendremos la ceremonia y el cóctel. La recepción se llevará a cabo en el club de playa del hotel, Aqua, a pocos pasos de la playa. El hotel ofrece un maravilloso desayuno y si lo deseas, puedes agregar el almuerzo y la cena al precio. En este hotel, no existe una opción de todo incluido con bebidas. The reception will take place at the hotel's beach club, Aqua, just a short walk down the beach. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast, and you can add lunch and dinner to the price if you like. Note: Cocoplum is a very relaxed and clean beach hotel, but it is not extremely fancy. As this is a destination wedding, we wanted to ensure guests had an affordable option.
