Air North, an airline owned by Yukon first nations, is the top choice for all flights into the territory. At the risk of sounding like a corporate shill they really are the best, with free meals, two free checked bags, and unparalleled customer service. The only downside can be the price, which reflects the excellent service they offer. You can likely get round trip Air North trips from Toronto or Ottawa for around $750 per person, or cheaper if you use the trickier connector fare route described below. From Toronto: • Direct flights Toronto-Whitehorse: Beginning August 7, 2026 (Wednesdays and Fridays) • Direct flights Whitehorse-Toronto: Beginning August 11 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) From Ottawa: • Direct flights Ottawa-Whitehorse: June 14 to August 30th (Sundays) • Direct flights Whitehorse-Ottawa: June 14th to August 30th (Saturdays) • Example itinerary, 2 weeks in the Yukon: Sunday, August 9 to Saturday, August 22nd From the West (best) coast: • Direct, frequent flights from Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria, Kelowna, Vancouver, etc. AIR NORTH SEAT SALES: Air North frequently offers seat sales of up to 30%, usually every two months or so. This is generally the cheapest way to get to the Yukon, but requires careful planning and a lot of research. In short, Air North offers $99 one way "segments" from any of their western destinations to Whitehorse and back. You'll need to book a flight from your home to any of Air North's western destinations, wait 24 hrs, send your initial flight booking details to the listed email, then call the Air North Connector Fare hotline to book your connection. When you're booking your initial flights, you need to make sure they arrive at the connecting airport at least an hour an a half before the Air North connector leaves, to give you time to transfer your bags and check in for the connecting flight. If you fly with Air Canada they can transfer your bags automatically, but if you fly with any other airline you'll need to leave the secure area, grab your bag, and re-check it at the Air North counter. The Connector Fare team will check your bookings to make sure timing lines up but ultimately it is your responsibility. Double check that the time your initial flight arrives at the connecting airport is at least an hour and a half before your Air North connector flight leaves.

WestJet and Air Canada do offer flights to Whitehorse as well, and can be booked as a single ticket from your hometown to Whitehorse with a single airline. The best way to find these is to play around with flights in Google Flights. You can get really lucky with these single bookings but they are generally more expensive. The easiest way to find these is by setting a price alert for Google Flights and monitoring the price over a couple months, then snag it when you see it hit a low point (this applies to connector fare-compatible flights as well). My record is a $300 round trip Whitehorse to Ottawa, all with Air Canada (I think due to some software glitch). Worth checking out!
Hotel
We will have a reserved block at the Best Western (code provided for booking block) for the wedding, but feel free to make your own arrangements if you want.

Hotel
Other Cole and Alex-recommended hotels (no reserved blocks) include: • Black Spruce Lodge • Eclipse Hot Springs (other end of town, ~40 minute drive) • Northern lights Resort and Spa (Fancy) • The 98 Hotel (Funky, authentic Yukon hotel) • AirBnB and VRBO (book well in advance)
Rental Car
If you plan on doing anything outside of wedding activities, a car rental is a necessity. Car rentals in Whitehorse book up EARLY (think February-ish), so make sure to book your ride well in advance if you will need one.
