Amy Elaine Rodwell

Matron of Honor

Where would I be without my favorite ginger? We met in the 4th grade and from wearing matching plaid skirts and passing notes in school, to visiting each other in college, to standing beside her as her maid of honor (the greatest honor of my life), I can’t remember a version of my life that doesn’t include her. We seldom go a day without talking. Amy is the most loyal, steadfast friend I know. During some of the hardest times in my life—including long hospital stays—she never left my side, never treated me differently, and showed up for me in a way that I will never be able to fully put into words. Amy has the highest emotional intelligence of anyone I know—she reads a room effortlessly, senses what others need, and meets them there with so much care and intention. My favorite example of her loyalty comes from high school, when I applied for a scholarship program and didn’t get it. I later found out that Amy had secretly written her own application—not for herself, but explaining why she believed I should win. That is who she is at her core. Watching her become a mom to Thomas has been one of the most special things to witness. She has absolutely blossomed into motherhood in the most natural, beautiful way. Amy is the closest thing I will ever have to a sister. She has shaped my life in more ways than I can count, and I love her more than words can say. I could not imagine this day without her by my side. Xoxo, Darby

Evelyn Beth Burk

Junior Bridesmaid of Honor

Nicholle Frances Torres

Maid of Honor

Nicholle came into my life and immediately reminded me how much fun life can be—and how much fun I can have when I’m surrounded by the right people. She is a true “girls girl” in the best way, always lifting the people around her up and holding everyone (myself included) to a higher standard. Some of my favorite memories are with Nicholle in Florida—countless happy hours at El Camino and screaming Harry Styles and Taylor Swift lyrics at the top of our lungs (we made it to both concerts together, of course). We’ve taken so many trips together over the years, and our travel (and honestly life) styles align perfectly, which makes every adventure feel effortless and fun. She has the most contagious laugh, the best dimples, and a sense of humor that perfectly matches mine—we are constantly laughing when we’re together. But beyond all of that, Nicholle has also been by my side through so many highs and lows, always somehow managing to put a smile back on my face. She is incredibly driven—a former college tennis athlete who has taken that same focus and intensity into her career, where she is an absolute force in the finance world—but she brings that same loyalty and energy into her friendships, too. I am my most fun, most confident self when I’m with Nicholle. She truly makes everything better, and I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side as my maid of honor. Xoxo, Darby

Lillian J Burk

Junior Bridesmaid of Honor

Mckinzie Amylee Ubah

Bridesmaid

McKinzie is Darby’s cousin and best friend! Her mom and Darby’s dad were taken to Italy by our great grandmother as part of a family tour and religious pilgrimage to La Madonna di Pompeii, our family’s patron saint. Some of Darby’s favorite childhood memories were during summers were when McKinzie would fly down from Illinois to Charleston and they would go to the beach, swim in the Bohicket river, or climb out onto the roof to lay out and talk for hours. Darby was a bridesmaid for McKenzie’s fabulous wedding in Houston in September 2025. Xoxo, Darby

Samuel Allen Methvin

Best Man

Sam is my best man and has been my best friend since childhood. We grew up five houses down from each other in Helena, and for years it felt like we were tied at the hip. If someone invited Colby, they expected Sam to be there too, and vice versa. We played on the same sports teams growing up and spent countless hours together, whether it was hanging out, competing, or playing golf. Other than my dad and brother, there’s nobody I’ve played more golf with than Sam. Some of my favorite memories are random rounds with him filled with trash talk and nonstop laughing. He can absolutely bomb a driver, and he’s also one of the best fishermen I know, the kind of guy who always seems to catch something. What I appreciate most about Sam is who he is as a person. He’s goofy in the best way and always makes people laugh, but he’s also incredibly smart and somehow seems to know a little about everything. He’s the kind of friend you genuinely enjoy being around no matter what you’re doing. As we’ve gotten older, it’s also been special watching him become a great dad to his daughter. Through every stage of life, Sam has been a loyal and dependable friend, and I’m grateful for all the memories we’ve shared together.

Sarah Kathryn Gilbreath

Bridesmaid

Elizabeth Darby Holthouser

Bridesmaid

I met Lizzie my freshman year during sorority Spring Teas. Lizzie traveled down to Tuscaloosa from Atlanta as a senior in high school to explore what Greek life might look like for her that upcoming fall. Lizzie’s mom had also been in Alpha Delta Pi, and after one conversation with Lizzie, I absolutely fell in love with her and knew that I had to have her as one of my sisters. I rushed Lizzie harder than I have ever rushed anyone, legacy or not, and was mildly concerned that she would be freaked out by the number of times I found ways to speak with her during recruitment. The day Lizzie ran home to ADPi was more special to me than my own Bid Day. Lizzie became my Little, and I have been absolutely obsessed with the ball of pure sunshine that she is ever since. After all, us Darby’s have to stick together! Xoxo, Darby

Nathaniel Warren Gilbreath

Groomsman

Eliza Anne Trice

Bridesmaid

Eliza and I met in high school, and quickly bonded over choir, plays, and musicals. One of my favorite memories will always be performing together in “The Sound of Music”—we were both nuns which proved to be one of the most fun and hilarious experiences of my life. When she and Dana went off to college, I remember being so sad my senior year without their constant friendship. Over the years, we’ve stayed in touch, and I’ve always loved getting to see Eliza when I visit Charleston. Eliza has been such a special part of my life through different seasons—from those early high school days to standing beside her as a bridesmaid in her own wedding a few years ago. It’s been so fun to watch her love story unfold, and even more special to see her step into this new chapter as a mom to baby Jonah. Eliza is kind, joyful, and someone who has always been so easy to love. I feel so lucky to have her standing beside me on this day. Xoxo, Darby

Dawson David Davenport

Groomsman

Dawson is my little brother and subsequent built in best friend. He has the ability to retain facts and information better than anyone I will likely ever meet. He has such a beautiful mind, and it was an absolute pleasure to be his big sister growing up. Some of my fondest memories with Dawson include days spent in the buggy during mom and dad’s Kiawah bike rides, beach days, fishing (where he would somehow always know the exact name of the fish we would catch and every imaginable fact about them!), the Charleston aquarium touch tank, swimming in the pineapple park, and traveling the world together as young adults. Even though he made me watch Jaws (and convinced 6 year old me that my sparkly pink bikini would guarantee a shark bite) and all of the Alien movies (I still don’t see how the aliens were not also predators..?) more times than I wish to recount, I cannot imagine my life without you. I love you always! Xoxo, Darby

Adelaide Basco

Bridesmaid

Adelaide and I met when we were just four years old, and our lives have been intertwined ever since. What started with our moms becoming close friends turned into our families growing up alongside each other, with both of our brothers and siblings naturally falling into the mix. We’ve gone in and out of living in the same place over the years, but she’s always been a constant. From childhood beach and boat days, visiting each other during college, her coming to see me in Alabama, and living with me in Birmingham while she was doing a rotation at the zoo during vet school—somehow we’ve always found our way back to the same places. Getting to celebrate her at her graduate hooding at UGA was such a special moment, and I’m so excited to stand beside her on her wedding day in January as well. Adelaide is steady, thoughtful, and one of those people who has truly grown up alongside me. There’s something really special about a friendship that has lasted this long, and I feel so lucky she’s been such a meaningful part of my life. Xoxo, Darby

Davis Dalton Davenport

Groomsman

Davis is my baby brother, and I will never forget the day, while watching Scooby Doo, that my mom realized she might be pregnant. Despite our 7 year age gap, I am convinced that there has never been another kid more excited to have a new baby brother than I was. Sweet Davis was the world’s cutest kid and my personal little shadow. I loved baking, watching Cake Boss, playing in the sand, and shopping on King Street with him. Davis is extremely empathetic, and I will never forget how many rainbow loom bracelets he made for me, nurses, doctors, and other patients during my open heart surgery at Johns Hopkins. During our first family trip to Italy, I realized that instead of saying “Buongiorno,” Davis kept saying “DiGiorno” like the frozen pizza brand. I have never laughed so hard and will forever consider “DiGiorno” the superior greeting. I love you, Smooch! Xoxo, Darby

Sara Jane Wilson

Bridesmaid

I met Sara in 2015 at The University of Alabama through the University Fellows Experience. As huge Roll Tide fans, we eventually decided to room together our sophomore and junior years, which is where so many of my favorite memories with her began. When I adopted my dog, Skittles, from Ecuador sophomore year, Sara’s cat, Ethel, somehow taught Skittles how to be a hybrid cat-dog—something I still don’t fully understand, but will always find hilarious. Sara is an incredible writer (she’s now a journalist!) and graphic designer, and she has the most fantastically dry sense of humor. Sara is also one of the most detail-oriented and thoughtful people I know. She notices the things most people miss—the behind-the-scenes work, the small touches, the intention behind it all—and I’ve always admired that about her. She values education deeply and isn’t afraid to challenge the people she loves to show up better for themselves. She has walked through hard things with so much strength and grace, and I feel incredibly lucky to have known her dad and to see so many of his best qualities reflected in her. I am so proud of the person she is and continues to become. Xoxo, Darby

William Blake Coleman

Groomsman

Amy Santos

Bridesmaid

I met Amy during my time at the Cleveland Clinic, and from the beginning, she was just one of those people who made everything more fun. She’s incredibly easygoing, always says yes to an adventure, and somehow manages to make even the most ordinary days feel memorable. We’ve shared so many trips, laughs, and “let’s just go for it” moments, and Amy is always the first one to jump in with excitement. She brings such a light, positive energy wherever she goes, and being around her just makes life better. Amy is the definition of fun, loyal, and effortlessly kind, and I’m so grateful to have her as one of my closest friends. Xoxo, Darby

Adli Quay Kilic

Groomsman

Casey Lawrence

Bridesmaid

Casey was one of Darby’s co-fellows at the Cleveland Clinic. Even though Casey lived in Cleveland, and I lived in South Florida, we became fast friends and spoke daily, often times discussing various healthcare needs throughout the pandemic. Casey is a trained labor and delivery nurse, and while we were in our administrative fellowship, she was also picking up shifts in the labor and delivery floors at the Cleveland Clinic to help with staffing shortages and ensure that mothers were supported and babies were delivered safely. Casey is one of the kindest and most courteous people I (and colby!) have ever met. Casey eventually moved down to South Florida and we happily merged friend groups. Despite numerous additional moves for the both of us, we have made regular efforts to stay in touch and see each other. Casey is easily one of the people I most admire in this world! Xoxo, Darby

Daniel Benjamin Aizenman

Groomsman

Cassandra Marie Fernandez

Bridesmaid

I met Cassie during my time at the Cleveland Clinic, and if I’m being honest, I was a little intimidated by her at first. She’s incredibly sharp, strikingly beautiful, and carries herself with a level of confidence and drive that I immediately admired—and honestly hoped to emulate in my own career. As I got to know her, that first impression only evolved into something better. Cassie is the kind of person who is always up for an adventure, and we’ve had so much fun traveling and navigating different seasons of life together. She works hard, shows up fully, and brings a level of intention to everything she does. Also, she always looks amazing and has such a fantastic smile! What I admire most about Cassie is how deeply she loves her people. She celebrates her friends in the biggest ways and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. Once you’re in her circle, you’re in it for life. I feel so lucky to have her standing beside me on this day. Xoxo, Darby
