FAQs

Question

What airport should we fly into?

Answer

Most international guests will fly into Florence (FLR) or Pisa (PSA). Florence is closest to the venue. However, if you choose to fly into Rome or Venice to explore an additional city beforehand or for cost purposes, it is easy to take the speedy train to Florence. Villa Olmi is about a 45 minute drive from the airport. It is easy to get a taxi or Uber from the airport. Additionally, you can take the T2 tram line to the city center and get a taxi or public bus to the hotel from there.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes — passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates. If your passport needs to be updated or if you’re applying for the first time, make sure to give yourself ample time as shipping delays do occur. Most passports take ~6 weeks to arrive.

Question

How far is the venue from Florence?

Answer

Villa Corsini is about 20–25 minutes outside Florence.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Hotel Villa Olmi is our top recommendation for all guests as this is where everyone will be regularly gathering. Breakfast is included.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Villa Olmi provides transportation to the city center of Florence for guests to easily explore. A bus will be provided for guests to travel to and from Villa Olmi and Villa Corsini on the wedding day.

Question

When should we arrive in Italy?

Answer

We recommend 1-2 days before the 22nd as a minimum so guests can adapt to time changes and jet lag. Our wedding is on a Tuesday in order to provide guests with the opportunity to explore an Italian city and adjust to the time zone the weekend before.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Gentleman, please wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie. Ladies, please wear a long, formal dress.
