The closest airport to Toledo is Madrid-Barajas (MAD). Travel Note
Toledo is about a 50-minute drive from the Madrid airport. You can usually find affordable rental cars at the airport (tip: if you don’t drive manual, make sure to book an automatic in advance). We suggest to use a rental car company that is located inside the terminal for ease. IMPORTANT: If you are planning to rent a car, make sure to get an International Driver Permit with AAA prior to leaving the states. Simply go to your local AAA office and apply for it. It will take 5 minutes and cost $20. It will take longer to do it online, so we suggest you go to a local AAA location. Alternatively, there are convenient train connections that will take you directly south to Toledo, or you can opt for a taxi/private transfer. ------- Toledo liegt etwa 50 Minuten Fahrt vom Flughafen Madrid entfernt. Am Flughafen findet man in der Regel preiswerte Mietwagen (Tipp: Wenn ihr keinen Schaltwagen fahrt, reserviert am besten vorher einen Automatikwagen). Wir empfehlen den Mietwagen in dem Flughafenterminal bei einem Vermieter abzuholen. Alternativ gibt es bequeme Zugverbindungen, die euch direkt nach Toledo bringen, oder ihr könnt ein Taxi bzw. einen privaten Transfer wählen.
