Fun Fact: Veronica fell in love with the little mudbugs when she moved to Houston. Cody grew up on a crawfish farm and having crawfish during the season was literally in the backyard.

The first stop of our Italy adventure. Come join us at one of our favorite restaurants with traditional Italian cuisine. ACCOMMODATIONS: Recommend booking your accommodations by April/May the latest as the Chianti Wine Festival attendees will book all the accommodations in Greve and nearby towns. You will need a car rental or private car service if staying at a nearby town.

Chianti Wine Festival

Casual. Typical perfect fall weather. Wear comfy shoes, cobble stone roads.

September 8-11th. Enjoy 1 - 4 days. This festival is truly a local Italian delight! How it works: 1. Find the booth to purchase you Festival bundle of Wine Tasting Ticket booklet, Wine glass and holder. 2. Cost 10 euros for 7 tastings with festival bundle (I play a game every year to get my booklet not punched or as little as possible. Get ready to sweet talk and buy a LOT of wine.) 3. Go to any booth and let the wine tasting begin. Recommend trying the Grappa, Limoncello, and olive oils. 4. Pace yourself or you will be asleep by 5pm. 5. Tip: Pack your luggage in a larger luggage to bring back a full bag of Wine and all your other Italian goodies. Fair Warning: When you get home it will be worth all the trouble but know you will be lugging an additional 50 lb bag in a bus, train, car and plane.
