Veronica was 33 and over Christmas break she told her family she was finding her husband next year. Both thought what the heck and threw out a wide net. Off to online dating they went! In the second week of January, she came across Cody's profile and thought, he looks cute but his profile only said “tacos”. Cody thought "She's pretty" and liked that she traveled. Swipe Right. After several messages solely about food, they made and broke 3 date plans. Not until the first week of February had their first date at The Crawfish Pot. May have been the worst first date plan but this girl loves her crawfish and turns out he does too. He wore a black hoodie and an Astros hat. His huge beard, flat brim hat and glasses made it difficult to see his face. He ordered the spiciest crawfish. Then the water works started after a few bites and poor guy was getting the spicy meat sweats. He then took off his hoodie, hat and glasses and she thought “WOW, he IS good looking!” After 3 hour ours of chatting there was a little bit of uncertainty of a connection. She thought they could be friends. He thought that was fun and wanted to see her again. The week of Valentine’s she had a date almost every day except Valentine’s. They both were open to see each other again. She suggested a non-traditional Valentine’s but a regular date. He suggested Ninja ramen, a live show, and Lucky’s Pub (Cody was a regular). The pressure was low and she opened up. They ended up having a memorable time and sparks started to fly. After Valentine’s day they went on 9 consecutive dates and she cancelled all following dates with other suitors because this guy was "different", in the best possible way. After those 10 dates they claimed Valentines as their official “together” date, as they never stoped seeing each other. They went to Hawaii after 2 months of dating. A week after returning from Hawaii he moved in with her. They continued to explore the world and each other. Within a year of dating bought a house together. Cody proposed in Oahu on 3/7/2021 and she said YES!
