The Wedding Website of Clerc Cooper and Gavin Rudolph
We hope you will travel to Orange Beach to celebrate with us! We planned our wedding weekend around many schools' Fall Break in hopes that our guests could stay a few extra days either before or after. We would love to spend some extra time at the beach with you but of course understand if you can't make it or if that's not possible! October is one of our favorite times of year in Orange Beach, as the weather is cooler but the water is still warm. Generally, this time of year is less-crowded in Orange Beach. However, unbeknownst to us when picking a date 20 months out from our engagement, our wedding will be the same weekend as "Shrimp Festival" in Gulf Shores, the neighboring beach town. Because of the additional visitors for the festival, we recommend you book lodging accommodations early. Most Shrimp Fest visitors travel by car, so we do not anticipate increased difficulty booking flights or rental cars.

Flight

Pensacola International Airport

Pensacola International Airport is the closest major airport to Orange Beach. The drive from this airport to the beach is about an hour.

Flight

Mobile Regional Airport

The Mobile Regional Airport is another option for flying. It's an hour and twenty minutes to Orange Beach from this airport.

Flight

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

The New Orleans airport has flight and rental car options abound. If you would like to extend your trip and also see the place we call home, New Orleans is about a 3.5 hour drive to Orange Beach.

House Or Rental

Airbnb and VRBO

We recommend staying in a condo or house instead of a traditional hotel, as there are many nice complexes in Orange Beach. Airbnb and VRBO are great options to rent in the area. Most condo complexes offer multiple rental options through these sites.

Hotel

Various Hotels

Caribe Resort: Caribe is a three-tower, family-friendly condo complex with all the amenities. It has a lazy river, pools, slides, saunas, hot tubs, tennis courts, and more. The beach is just across the street. The Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel: The Lodge is a beautiful new hotel which is just across from the Gulf State Park. The hotel is on the beach, has two wonderful restaurants and an infinity pool. It also offers bikes to ride in the state park. The only down side of this hotel is its proximity to Gulf Shores and the Shrimp Festival. Island House Hotel (DoubleTree by Hilton): A newly renovated Hilton with all gulf-facing rooms directly on the beach, very close to the Church. The hotel has an outdoor pool and hot tub, and there is a restaurant on site. Tides Hotel (Best Western): A newly renovated Best Western, right on the beach with a pool and a cocktail lounge. The hotel has two cocktail lounges but no restaurant on site. Breakfast is available.
