Yes! Please feel free to bring your family. We will have lawn games, activities, and an attendant to watch them.
Cocktail, please. But also be mindful that the reception is largely outdoors. Please consider that when picking footwear and outerwear.
Because our ceremony is at 2pm and the reception does not begin until 5, there will be approximately a two hour break in the afternoon. We recommend that you enjoy a cocktail on the beach at either the Flora-Bama, the Flora-Bama Yacht Club, or the Gulf. Each of these locations has a nice view and excellent bushwackers. Alternatively, GT's on the Bay is very close to the reception venue and features a lovely view. The tiki bar at the Sportsman Maria also has a great view and is near the reception.
Think of an extended cocktail party with passed appetizers and a buffet dinner available when you get hungry. Although there is no seated dinner or reserved seating, you will still be able to enjoy dinner and discussion. That is, if you can stay off the dance floor. You will also still see the traditional wedding festivities. First dances are held at the beginning of the reception. The cake is cut and the bouquet is tossed during one of the band's breaks. And a second line finishes out the evening.
Instead of a seated dinner, there will various food options at the reception. We anticipate there will be gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you are concerned about a particular dietary constraint, please reach out to us ahead of time!
